8. What according to you is love ? What is its real shelf life?

Love is a commitment for life. Whatever be the relationship, love means that you are totally committed to the person and will go any length to see that your loved one is happy. That one smile on his/her face can be your living force that will take you ahead.

Is this really true...supposing (hypothetically)your husband tomorrow tells you "Jaya quit your job and be there at home to greet me with a smile every evening when i return home", if you want you can work part time, lets have more quality time"- will you give up your career just to make him happy...?

Adi - if my husband also loves me and is committed in the relationship, he would know what my career means to me and would never want me to quit it. He surely doesnt want me to see sitting and sulking at home, that surely is not going to see him happy or do any good to the relationship. Bottomline, love is about understanding each other and working out a common path that will best suit the needs of both, bring in fulfillment and hence happiness. Take out the mutual fulfillment and the relationship will choke!

So it is a catch 22 situation where you dont want him to make a demand on you,which will hurt your feelings, and may be he wants it but isnt telling you, coz he wants you to offer the suggestion yourself but he is unhappy about the present situation.

In that case haven't life or the situation has contradicted the point which you made that "when a person is in love he/she will go to any length to make the other person happy"..it really is not the case,now is it...life is , love is finally adjustment, a compromise to cohabit...its not sacrificing something for the other person.

Good question di - Things are well very different.. If you remember, my last one was one of the initial MOTWs, probably just after Zee, Daisy, Shady and Angie.. I think we were all learning and preparing our MOTW question banks still.. Questions were brilliant then as well, but we have seen the standard of questions going higher and higher later, well till we probably hit saturation... Mine was also probably the first MOTW where people really started giving out creative questions, but as I said, it was just the beginning...So may be as compared to some of the members who followed, I had some breathing space.. 😊

Another thing that I had experienced in my last stint was the variety of questions, and had really enjoyed some real thought provoking questions from Anol, Adi, Shady, Amzy, Deep and many others.. A lot of the old crowd is missing, and I am surely going to miss them here this week.. but again a lot of the currently active members were not so active then, and am sure they would want to know me more through this week. So, I am looking fwd to this week for the opportunity.. From the appetizers that Suny has started with, the week surely looks like fun 😊
