Summary:
One of the most respected member of SRGMP forum Smt Manju Jain (also popularly known and hereforward referred to as Manjuji) has determined that it was time to take some members of this forum on a tryst with Mrs. Valentine (Read: Valentine Date). After a lot of Trials, Tribulations, Tabulations, Postulations and presuppositions the team was narrowed down to the hallowed 16 called VALENTINE 16. This team will embark on a journey of the lifetime on Valentines Day under the Leadership of the sponsor of this event, Manjuji. The scope of the project is to plan the complete event from laying the foundation till execution (cradle to grave).
Tasks Status
1. Plan the events of the entire day with specific timings: Action – Tanya the Trubl and Anu. Tanya has the most difficult task. She started with demands of an assistant not knowing that she is dealing with a bunch of paupers and a baniya (icing on the cake). However Anu came to the rescue and now she is it. Together they are going to create a bullet-proof plan (we need one with Dons lurking around). Tanya has started arranging locations and planning the order of events. Here is the Trubl though. Tanya…..You and Anu have to plan the whole day….timewise… something like…
9:30 AM – Meet (somewhere)
9:45 AM – Depart by some sort of BaelGadi to the next destination
10:30 – 11:30 – Event
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Lunch
Etc. etc.
However she is onto a good start….The Atlantic City Boardwalk has been accepted as location for "some" event. Please indicate what that event is. Long way to go…little time on hand….Keep going Tanya and Anu.
2. Assign the tasks for each event of that day for detailed planning: Action – Manish
3. Food Arrangements: Action – Matarani Dia…..Lazing away to Glory……Popular demand….Start hatching those chickens and please do not explode them like last time……You have also heard some vegetarians so make sure that not all that tastes good is chicken…Get into action…NOW…..
4. Clothing Arrangement: Action – Anita. Update: Anita ji like a prompt worker got to action as soon as she descended on this thread. She posted some amazing western dresses but forgot that we were not going to a marriage party dressed as bridesmaids. Sure enough the straight-shooter Munnabhai corrected her almost as soon as the selection was done. Anitaji is on a roll ladies and gentlemen. She even posted some international quality jewellery straight from the premises of Hirabhai Anmolsingh SirpeChandani. But the splash of the day was her selection of mindblowing sarees and lehangas, cholis and the dress for men. The female models were equally mindblowing ….Thanks for keeping us males in good spirit Anitaji…..Members are in the process of selection. So far selection has been completed by
5. Travel Arrangement: Adi ….Update: This fish is suffocating right now …But I full confidence on this tambuman….Once he starts breathing…..The travel arrangements will happen in a jiffy.
6. Gaane ki Bajana ---- Gaana Bajana: Action – Sunil Bhai. Update: Sunil bhai accepted the gauntlet thrown by Manjuji and at the last report is burning both midnight oil and CDs with some romantic songs. Now that is what we call literally "Hot" romantic songs….Lage rahiye Sunilbhai….
7. Sher – o- Shayari: Action – Jadoo Bhai …Update: Jadoo Bhai missing in action….koi jaao zara dhoondh ke lao..na jaane kaha Jadoo chala gaya….na jaane kahan Jadoo chala gaya….I have confidence on Jadoo Bhai
8. Nautanki: Action – Mera Sunno (SDK) Update: Sunno Baby is fretting around……frustrated and lost….Sunno…..You need to plan a nautanki event and you can include your favorite characters Ravan, Osama, Bush, Kerry, Gavaskar, Tendulkar, Draupadi and anybody else you want. Think of a fun game to involve all participants. C'mon get going now.
9. Location Planning: Action - Tanya the Trubl. UPDATE: City decided…Atlantic City. Now the detailed planning needed on which locations would be used for what event.
10. Gift Selection: Action – Minali….Update: Action….Action…..Action….Enough promises made….Show us the ztuff now….and stop laughing at members and comments……All comments are absolutely serious and non-humorous…..aur Dia ke comments pe hansi aati hai?......Jeez….Mujhe to hansne wale par rona aata hai….
11. Antakshari: Action – RitaJaani and Kavitaji…Nobody can do this job better than our Ritajaani and Kavitaji (her name is Kavita…c'mon…need more proof).
12. Accounting/Budgeting/Fund Transfer Pricing: Action - Noopur and Pallaviji….Noopur as expected preferred the role of sidekick to her MD (mommy dear) Pallaviji the mathematician/statistician/Shakuntala-Devi-In-Disguise. Pallaviji, you are expected to keep the cost accounting in shape. For all the tasks performed on this thread, the individual performers are expected to tell you the cost incurred and you will be in charge of keeping the itemized cost. These cost will later be subject to standard deduction from the income of Manjuji under the charitable cause act.
13. Maatha Khana: Action – Flakenol and Saniya : Update: The goal of this event to keep all the nay-sayers and non-doers away from yay-sayers and doers. The only way to do that would be to confuse them by sounding confused. Who better than Flakenol and Saniya? As it goes…..har-nazar-chahe-mujhe-main-Saaniya-badnaam…..C'mon Flakelol and Saaniya….chat 'em away…
14. Drinks: Action – Abhi: Update: This is a new task.
15. Dil aur Pet ka Doctor: Action – Update: New Task. Somebody please get this guy…..Mai sahi bata raha hoon…..aaplogo ne Matarani ka dia kha liya to iski jaroorat padegi…Aap log katai "light"ly nahi lijiye is baat ko…
