Neeraj Shreedhar: ’Halke Halke’

Neeraj Shreedhar started making a name for himself by being the lead singer of 'Bombay Vikings' where he dished out remixes-with-a-difference. His stint with Bollywood has mostly been restricted to being a support singer (a case in point being 'Baat Pakki' in 'Just Married' where he gives able support to Shaan). Obviously his singing has limitations for he is not classically trained. But Vishal-Shekhar have understood his limitations the most by making him sing a stellar number 'Halke Halke' in their forthcoming film 'Honeymoon Travels'.

In lamhon ki har daal par khil gaye…bhool gayi jab dil se dil mil gaye…aankhen ankhon se kehne lagi hain…ek nayi dastaan…halke halke rang chalke….jaane ab hone ko kya hai… Javed Akhtar dishes out honey sweet words. The composition carries a lot of subtle sensitive warmth. And Neeraj sings it with a lot of heart and restraint. Even the remix carries a lot of ebullient charm. For it's not your regular remixes as it carries a retro feel. There's nothing stopping Neeraj from here on.
