Remember Vineet, the first runner-up of Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge 2005? Surely you can't forget the way his guru Himesh Reshammiya used to promote him during the contest? Reshammiya laughed, screamed and even cried to promote Vineet.

It seems the composer has kept his word. In the coming days, almost all the films Vineet is singing for has Reshammiya as the music director. Be it Aapne or Good Boy Bad Boy or Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Vineet has a song in all the films. The upcoming singer with the boyish looks was also rumoured to be going around with his co-contestant Himani (currently hosting Antakshari on Zee).

"Even Himeshji teases me about this," says Vineet. "But let me tell you it is nothing like that. Himani and I are old friends and know each other for more than six years now. We are so close to each other that such rumours are spreading."

Well, where have we heard that before? Apparently the two were even offered roles in a low-budget film, which they refused. Vineet has already bought an apartment in Mumbai and is relocating with his family.

The reason is Debo was overrated and didnt deserve to win..and there were pages and pages of debate on this... its just that... things are unfolding slowly.. to that effect.... and where is the champ now... conducting regional shows.. that regional is what he is best with...😆

HR is the grand master... he did what he said... a first of its kind... when he had said in 2005 awards ceremony that he will prove a point... he is the hero right now whether u hate him or like him...😊

oh those shows are dime a dozen for vineet... Vineet toured all over didnt he.. and frankly i dont know how many 10's of thousands went to see that...so i dont reckon those either... 😊

the point is debu fans should stop living in denial.. accept that he is going no where and that Vineet is going to go places.... ok vineet also has an apartment in mumbai... didnt have to go back ....did he?😆

Qwerty everyone knows your feelings for Debo, so leave him alone. This article is about Vineet and I am a Debo fan still I am Happy for vineet so be a sport.😃

really, being a sidekick to Himesh, doing the same acting over and over about pyar at each and every concert, honestly I have seen reports for those concerts by Vinit fans, there is a lot of talk about the pyar ka stuff and very little reference to his singing

So, the choice is

performing a pyar ka natak with Himesh as a comedy act in front of a packed audience

Or

performing a singing part in front of smaller crowd

I would always take the quality over the quantity😉
