I don't find Himesh worth talking about
Sonu Niigam says that he is busy with new projects and has no inclination to talk about his war with Himesh Reshammiya
Sonu Niigaam is on a new high this year with a new spelling to his name and exciting projects under his sleeves. Besides an all India tour, the singer has a busy schedule in the US. But much before that, this month he is all set to perform in Egypt against the backdrop of the pyramids. "I cannot reveal much about the Egypt show but it is going to be an exciting show and it's happening this month itself," confirms Sonu.

When Sonu was asked to comment on Himesh's nasal singing, he laughed off and said, "I know the reason why this question was put up - it is just a frustration, when people go on asking about someone again and again, he is just trying to remove his frustration! And I don't want to comment on any person in my interview, who I feel is not worthy of it. I should be more concerned about what I am doing for my parents and myself rather than sitting and commenting on other singers. As long as my parents are happy, I am happy. What other people think of me and what I think of other people is not a concern. I am doing my job to the best of my capacity and I am trying to deliver better results with each passing day," adds Sonu.
The Himesh - Sonu war began with stories about Himesh commenting in interviews like "Who Sonu?" to which Himesh then commented that he never said anything against Sonu. "I'm tired of people trying to create a rift between Sonu and me," Himesh said in an interview last year. But with this latest comment of Sonu, we wonder what next is going to happen between them and what Himesh will think about Sonu now!
Sonu feels its only live shows that can prove a singer's ability. "With ready availability of softwares anyone can become a playback singer, but its only live shows where one can prove his mettle." He also said that he wants to refrain himself from radio and television projects unless it is something very spectacular.
Sonu has a classical oriented album releasing this year, which he considers to be outstanding while there would also be a dance album that is expected to release later this year. But as of now, he is concentrating more on his English album, which he is keeping under wraps. "I will be soon given the title of an NRI, considering I spend more time in the US," he laughs.
Sonu wants the industry to take him more seriously now. "People have taken me for granted. They think they will get me to sing any song. That's not possible, I'm choosy and I recently even rejected Pritam's project despite of him being my close buddy," says Sonu on his new stand.
Sonu performed at a massive live show at Bandra Kurla Complex yesterday.
