I think I agree with Ashishji, aparnaji ,Sunitadi and others here. When the antaras have the same tune and when there is no background music it becomes difficult to sustain the interest level of both the singer and the listener if there are more than twoand there fore in a contest participants shy away from choosing long songs even though they are just awesome.That way we miss out on listening to some great numbers.However if the two antara rule applied, then these long songs can also be tried especially if the tune was the same in all the antaras.

Dear Ashish and other contestants and mentors,

As I referred your request to the organising team, the team hereby clarifies that the rules can not be amended and hence full song needs to be sung.... as is confirmed by Barnalidi in mentors thread.....

I hope everyone is doing grt for round 2 and am looking forward to listen some excellent songs from you all😃

sorry but the rule says the song will hav to be sung full and it will remain the same. there won't be any change in the rule. 😊 😛

...A small request to the participants😳... As soon as a round submission date is announced, please be on constant touch with your respective mentors so that you can actually discuss the song to sing, pick up the advices given, work on them , practice and finally submit your best effort. Mentoring is all about that. Those of you who are doing it, thats the way to go, those of you who haven't yet got into this routine, its about time.....

so...brace up, sing well ...and do the very best !!!!!!

Sorry, I already got the info I needed

The round 2 official submission date was 15th January,2007 IST. Jhankaar gharana has some uploading problems so could not upload it but have at least stated the reason for that in time for all to see.

But what happened to these participants of the following gharanas :

A. Alaap Gharana

1. Divya

2. Saara

B. SurSangam Gharana

1. Simple

C. Bandish Gharana

1. Moonlight.

Coordinators-what happens next?They have all missed the stipulated deadline..
