KAILASH: GREAT TO SING FOR NOBLE CAUSE By Eye TV India Bureau Tete-a-Tete
Excerpts of his interview: How does it feel to be in Delhi? It feels great to be here and I feel nostalgic about the fact that two years back it was in Delhi that we decided to form our band 'Kailasa'. Tell us more about 'Kailasa'? 'Kailasa' means 'Heaven'. Two years back when I was in Delhi for a concert at Pragati Maidan, I met these guys Naresh and Paresh, though both of them are Mumbai based but this band was born here in Delhi. What's music to you? Kailasa' means 'Heaven'. Two years back when I was in Delhi for a concert at Pragati Maidan, I met these guys Naresh and Paresh, though both of them are Mumbai based but this band was born here in Delhi. Music to me is like finding my inner self, my soul. It's like connecting me with Almighty. When I sing I get lost in some other world. I am in Trans when I am singing, which obviously is not an intentional effort. It's more like meditation for me. How does it feel to perform for foreign audience?
What would you be performing for Delhi audience today? It's again a great feeling to be here and we are going to play songs from our album and some of my hit film songs also. How does it feel to perform for noble causes? Performing for any noble cause is a very great feeling. I feel proud that I can do something for the people and especially through my singing. And, India needs more and more of such concerts. |
