Anu Malik is angry and hurt and, we believe, with some reason. The music director has forcefully refuted rumours that that it was not him but A R Rahman's nephew G V Prakash who composed the eminently hummable 'Humko maloom hai...'

Anu called us up to say, "In 25 years of my career as a composer I've been accused of copying songs that are my own, for the first time! Ask the Jaan-E-Mann producer Sajid Nadiadwala, ask director Shirish Kunder, how hard I've worked on the songs and the music of the film. At the end of it, it's very upsetting to have someone else try to snatch away my credit."

Meanwhile, all those who made this accusation against Anu have now suddenly backtracked and crawled back into the woodworks, making us wonder if Anu is more a victim in this case than the perpetrator. Our apologies to Anu, and here's hoping that he will continue to rock the charts with his next album, for Umrao Jaan.
