priya..not discuss hr,thoda entertainment tho hona chahiye 😆 !!!...come on..we all came to the forum only because of C2005.what would the show be without the incorrigible HR,ID,JL,AS!!!!the handpump vinit,cook rajeev,pardesi paresh,item girl twinkle,underdog hemu,nice guy debo,drama queen ujjaini..the upstart himani who threatened to unseet queenbee nihira..then there was the punching bag..GAjENDRA SINGH....so much to fight,crib and debate about.Every body had a lot to say about the show and gave us a good account of their knowledge too(after all they wanted to prove that they knew what they were saying better than the others-hence the heavy classical threads)..
it was a fabulous party everyone was having a ball..the one liners,the fun came with the heightened excitement...then the show got over...it happens in all reality shows,even sports..imagine how many forums were active during the worldcup football!

i agree with Adi it is a little dull,but unlike a serial like KTH..where you can expect a marriage death,divorce,all year through...in reality shows ups and downs are inevitable as the show lasts only for a few months ... what happens when a show is cancelled...most leave..

wait till the c2007 starts and I HOPE the usual supects are back-we want, we want HR, ID ,JL AS and others back..they were such characters 😆

meanwhile i think we are doing fine..thanks to emaet and lil champs..but the BIG one is coming!!our forum members who have left will also find their way back..just one or two exceptionally talented singers can do the trick!ihope it will be bigger and better or we can hammer gajji again...

Our section lacks fun which we used to have earlier the debate which atracted me to this forum are missing i am missing the debates between the fans

The Family threads have been removed

The fan clubs have been removed

There are only technichal threads here which many people dont have interest in.

People nowadays due to lack of fun are getting more atracted to other sections where there is fun.

People who have been adicted to IF SRGMP section and spent days and nights here loosing work are getting more conciderate towards their work and getting more sleep.

There is nothing to debate as the little champs are all so innocent and so good that we dont even feel like debating about them.

First and foremost, thanks Adi. I've been meaning to PM mods for this section and Vijay for some time now. Considering the response I've gotten earlier (more like lack of...) I hesitated and put it off. In this one post you've echoed many of my sentiments.

Speaking from the point of view of a relatively old member, this section has become too strict. Those of you who were around, if you could remember back to the beginning of this year (Jan, Feb time), you will remember we used to have many chatty threads, many threads related to non-technical issues. The fact of the matter is, most of us are not educated in the finer points of music. Many of us who first came to this section came because we appreciated the music and wanted to talk to others who did too. We weren't here to discuss sur and taal. We were here to gossip about the way the show was going, how well we thought the participants were doing and to have a little masti.

As we transitioned from C'05 to EMET this section became increasingly strict. Chatty topics were limited. Fan clubs and discussions on the little nothings started disappearing. Moving on to L'il Champs... all chatty topics are immediately closed, there are no fan clubs, many polls are also missing.

I can understand the need to maintain a balance. I can understand the difficult position the mods might have been in. I can understand wanting to avoid disagreements and "fights." But in censoring all this, the section has turned into the world of "Farenheit 451"... Big Brother (or Sister) is constantly watching, monitoring and censoring. In this process you have not only lost those of us who were here to be with friends (we'd discovered and made here) and have some masti, but you have also lost those people who were of a more technical mind.

I know it wasn't perfect, we had our fights, we had the annoying members who were here to create problems. But if you think back, we did have a good balance of technical and serious topics as well as the masti oriented chatty (flirty 😉) topics.

Some of us were here to talk in a lighthearted manner about some aspect of the show. Some of us were interested in discussing the technical aspects. Some of us were here to have masti.

The restrictions and censorship in place now are not the solution. While they make the mods' lives easier, they have sucked the fun out of this section. A better idea may be to lay down ground rules and monitor the threads in an attempt to pre-empt the fights. You don't have to close the entire thread down if problems seem to be developing. Just warn those members involved, and or block their comments.

I no longer enjoy coming back to the SRGMP section. I only come for the video links. Many of my friends have left as well. We don't care to come any more, because there's nothing to come back to. It was definitely about time, though, that some of these concerns were aired.

Participation levels will continue to to drop if this section isn't modified. Perhaps we could return to the earlier days with well-defined ground rules and better enforcements of the rules. Until then... good luck to you guys.

I am glad this bell has finally rung - a bit late I think !!

There are lots of issues here and I write short so I will not delve into them but will leave you with some of my one liners that ought to be food for thought to all here - some of you writing here know exactly what I mean:

1. Cannibalism leads to extinction of a species
2. There are ppl walking around here with "Abh thak Chappan" on their foreheads.
3. The Havaldaar, the Thanedaar and the Chaukidaar are all in cahouts with each other making the others feel like outsiders.
4. This was a robust Forum in October or so when I joined - now I just reply my PMs and walk away - I am sure there are a lot of ppl like me doing just that.

It is broken and needs serious repair - but alas, where do you start!!

I agree. Frankly, I think this present lack of interest is only natural. C 2005 had plenty to discuss about. There were some great contestants, hard core supporters, and members would critique the contestants, mentors, performances, episodes, Gaj ji. There was enough in the show to interest everyone. EMET and LC did not perhaps have quite as much happening to generate that kind of interest.

It is difficult to create general topics that would interest and attract members in large numbers the way a show does. This is but a phase and I think with C2007, not only will many of the old members return, we will have many new members joining in to discuss the show as well.

some possible suggestions

1)bring back the fan clubs in srgmp section
(i had opposed it tooth and nail when it was first proposed but then no one listened to me and to lots of ppl who wanted them in the same section )

2) allow debates to go on even if it looks like a mild fight i have seen this tendency of being over-careful in this section looking at the history of this section maybe it is justified but it has led to the current situation where no one is posting anything

3) old debates ( nihira himani, vinit debo etc) should be allowed still

4) chats shud still not be allowed it defeats the purpose of being a discussion forum
one topic can be opened even if it is in chat club but add a link to it in main srgmp forum ( i remember we used to have a moved topic earlier where we used to move a topic from one forum to another and keep alink in the old forum . this way both forums could enjoy the same topic (chat club as well as srgmp)

5) HR debates shud never be banned
😆
it that is banned then this endangered forum will become extinct

well usually i am scared to even comment on such a topic but as this is for the betterment of the forum i thought i would add my opinion (plz dont take any of this the wrong way any1)

first of all i think 1 of the problems is that a lot of members have formed their own groups and dont wish to socialise much outside this group... therefore, "outsiders" to their group dont feel like they can join in their conversation as they will just be ignored

i think she is right... if something is said by some1 "popular", every1 is suddenly interested, whereas if some1 less well-known suggest the same thing, no1 wants to know ... i have seen many examples of this (adi this is nothing against u... it's not ur fault u r popular 😉)

basically this forum has become a much less friendly place... not everybody is considered as equal and that's where i think it is going wrong

i know a lot of people feel the same way as me but are too scared to speak out as they are worried about the response they will get... also many people feel intimidated by the groups already formed... it's sad that people feel like that ... every1 should be able to speak what they feel is the truth 😊

i'm not sure how this can be sorted out... over the past few weeks there has only been 1 thread that i have hugely enjoyed... that was sejal's "pictures and your imagination" thread 😊... a lot of newcomers joined in there too and were warmly welcomed... and every1's inputs were appreciated, not just the well-know ppl's 😊... i was actually quite sad when that thread closed! ... maybe we could have some more threads like that 😊

this has hit the nail on its head

the older members me included dont interact that much with the crowd that came in after C05

groups that we formed during C05 ( vinit gruop , debo group , nihira group ,HR group , ID group dont interact with each other for fear of being offeneded or offending the others)
