I love all the Guru Dutt movies that I have watched and Waheeda Rehman is one of my fav actresses, it is great to get more info about her.
Truly an elegant lady and actress. 😊

Waheeda is one actress who seems to have left many actors/directors heartbroken and then gone on to marry a non-entity, and led a perfectly happy life. 😊

sahana ji aapne keh diya mein chah kar bhi nahin keh paa rahi thee. does not it make you sad? somehow that's why I like her as an actress but as a person, no comments. aap iske baad bhi usse milne jana chahte ho? (banglore usi se milne jana chahti thee na aap)

Hi Manju, that makes her interesting isn't it? For me she depicts one of the remaining members of that golden era, which gave us the best songs, most beautiful faces and moments. I would like to talk to her about that era, and not just about herself...

ho sakata hai, par shayad mein na kar paon, mujhe to usse pehle woh sab yaad aa jayega kis kis ka jeevan kahrab hua, kisi ko kast dekar kaise koi sukhi ho, mujhe to pareshani ho jati hai, but that's just me.

I know what you are saying & I do love her movies & songs bees saal baad, sahib biwi ghulam.. they are all fabulous.

Jst for yu all. she dnt stay at bangalore anymore. she these days stays at Mumbai itself. in bandra bandstand. with her son and daughter. Son has done MBA and is working in a company. daughter is a jewellery designer. she has done course in tht.

recently because of age maybe she in nt always in her bst of mood. she goes into bad mood and at times even behave wierdly to people even when thy call her. Bt earlier i had tlked to her. and can say she is a gem of a person. very sweet and motherly type. i will always cherish and remember all the tlks i hav had wth her.

Manju ji, how can you be responsible if people like/love you. She did not flirt with anyone including Guruduttji. She was always in her limit. same can be said for Hema Malini, Madhubala etc

Swar ji agreed partially. but as a person you can stay away from the people when you know you are hurting someones family & be their with the people who are impacted to support them (by doing that other person also know that it's of no ouse, as many times chup rehne se bhi insaan ko badhava milta hai). whatever I said swar ji said as in general not related to waheeda ji, so just want to clear that point. I am sure not all the time but many times it works.

I always give these great kalakar a benefit of doubt. Such great artist they are., Who knows what kind of circumtances they are in that time. I just love them.

Jst a little point. because Guru dutt had a family waheedaji later drifted away frm him. tht was one of the main reasons fr her going away frm the Guru Dutt group and sign her first movie outside him "Bees Saal Baad" wth Hemantada and BNNag. she knw by tht time tht this relationship was somethng tht may never materialise and so she choose the seperate path.
