After this performance I have only one way to compare these two singers

I am sure Ujjaini would have done a better job with the western touches. Although Nihira was running out of air sometimes but still she was just fantastic.

I think that it is incorrect for you to compare himani to nihira in this song. Nihira was great in her classical touches bu himani was really good too. I admit that himani would not be able to sing the classical lines but nihira could not sing the main lines of the song as well as himani either. When nihira sang the main lines of the song, she could not put as much energy as himani. They both sang their parts really well and compelemented each other. Ujjaini would not have sung the western parts better. Himani went really high in the western parts where Ujjaini would have seriously faltered. I also find nowadays that Ujjaini falters more than she sings well. Ujjaini is no where near as consistent in her singing as Himani. I know that Nihira is your favorite singer but please try to be unbias and give people the complements they deserve. Even if you don't want to complement Himani, then just say that nihira was great.

thanks for the wonderful video. i am also a fan of both nihira and himani. it was a great idea to conclude a concert with a minblowing performance. nihira did extremely well but i expected much better from himani. she was screaming at the western part of the song.

This post was not ABOUT COMPARING the two singers !!!

It was about sharing a WONDERFUL live performance that we had the good fortune of attending. We also had the good fortune of being able to tape the performance and SHARE IT with our friends here.

Nihira and Himani were so supportive and complementary to each other both on and off-stage. After the concert when I told Nihira that her performance was just GREAT, she said "It was all a team effort". Please take a cue from Nihira, and try to be a little generous to other singers too, even if they are not your favorites.

I admit that himani did go overboard in the western part but the main part of the song was sung really well. Losts of zest!👏

And Appaji, comparison of singers is not warranted here. Especially not in the manner you've illustrated. I felt Himani was great in the lines she had, although she did go loud at certain parts - but she did well overall, considering she had to sing the bulk of the song.

The songs in the medley just blended into each other, sometimes it took me a minute to realize that it was another song. Also the sargam in the finale is SUPERB...and was put together only a couple of days before so not rehearsed much.. (you can see the keyboard players working hard at the end and smiling when it ends)...WOW!!!

Many Thanks to Vinaya and Dileep for their videos...it motivated me to do the same..looking forward to more.

thanks..saw the medley and it was superb...Parthiv Govil sings really well..i heard him for the first time....in all amazing performance....
There level was much higher then what we are seeing nowdays on television and they also need more riyaaz to be at par with the specialists in this field.
you can't help but feel the difference between the talents which are hyped by contests like EMAET....these children need to spend more time learning and in riyaaz...i hope they do that and are not spoilt by media/fans...
