Both sang song very well.

We were sitting on the side so Nihira was facing us and Himani was facing the opposite way. It was the angle of the camera.

Himani said that when she and Nihira perform the song, they do it on the spot. She turned around to face the drummer because the drummer had to follow her. It was all improvised.

It was awesome. HImani was excellent with her impromptu western blend and her lively performance

Dileep,
Could you upload one of Parthiv Gohil's videos? I would really love to hear him again (especially the medley he did with Nihira).
Thanks

Pallaviji,

Dileep will upload more audio and video files in the next few days. He has recorded that medley, but it was rather long so it will take sometime to create the avi file and then upload it. The song choices in that medley was really wonderful. I loved it too. 😊

Talk to you later,
Vinaya.

Thank you Vinayaji and Dilip for posting the "Mast Kalander" video. I watched the video Vinayaji and Dilip posted on IF. I do not know how many people are upfront about the singing but I really felt that both Himani and Nihira lost surs many places and sounded flat. This could be due to travel stress. It is not easy going to different places and be consistant. I am going to listen to that song couple more times to see if my observations are correct or wrong. I liked their notations jugalbandi. I may be totally off based but first time I listened to the video, I got the impression. This is strictly my observation and do not intend to change, or hurt other people's opinion. If my observations are wrong, I will not mind if you correct me.

You maybe right Govindji. I'm not really good at recognizing these things. This was the last performance of the night, and they could have been tired. They had a gruelling weekend - fri concert in NY, Sat. in NJ and Sun again in NJ... and today they left for Atlanta... that is tough on anyone.

I enjoyed this performance for the energy, spirt and openess with which the two of them performed. I thought he confidence with which they were improvising was commendable..

That's right Varshadi... It was a really interesting, spontaneous performance... unexpected and quite different from the rest of the songs. 😊

Jaddogar liked the singing of both NIhira and Himani while I am critiquing it. I think that proves that there are variety of expectations from an artist from different strata of people. The more you expect, the more you start analysing (I am behaving just like Daler Mehndi counting how many number of time the singer lost sur). Some time it ends up in analysis to paralysis. I may have fallen in the the second catagory. I envy Jadoogar for being so happy. This also proves the "aashaam param dukhkham, niraashaam param sukham. I will try to teach this to myself.

Dileep and Vinayaji thanks a lot for the videos. I enjoyed them very much.

Nihira truly rocked the stage especially when she sang the BREATHLESS Sa Re .... . Truly she can never have any competitor.

👏 👏

NIHIRA IS THE BEST.
