Is it not too much criticism from ID?

I just watched the 21st episode after taping it.......I thought ID criticised Sharib and Banjoytsna way more than they needed........They were not great but neither were UA.....but he did not criticise them that much.......I think he is too biased........he used to be a good judge way before (before the end of C2005).i also did not like the way he tried to imitate banj..about her laughter in the song........i am sorry, he sounded just toooooo mean......

even hariharan said that sharib sang well....just my 2 cents worth......

I agree.. He thinks he has developed this "on-the-face frank and blunt" style which he thinks is very attractive. And he is doing it more and more. I am still amazed at his mood swings in C-2005. First he wanted to prove how JUST he was.. He kept criticizing his own singers too much(esp Debojit) and praise others even when they didn't deserve it that much. As if all that was not artificial enough, later he took an opposite spin of projecting himself as the VICTIM....
I don't think the contestants should take him seriously. He is just going thru a struggle of finding a style of his own and he is experimenting on the Saregamapa sets.

I support BS as well, but I thought Ismail Darbar's criticism was pretty fair, becuz he criticized them enough to understand that they made mistakes, and then encouraged them by saying, "after this song, I'm sure you guys will sing very good in the next round." I admit the jodi's did not sound anywhere near the finalists on CH2005, so ID can be making a comparison to that as well. Anyways, in the next episode, BS ROCKED.

ID had pointed out that instead of "ankhoon ki"
sharib was singing "ankhoooooon ki " everytime.
Even I had noticed it.May be ID thought that even after listening to the song(during practice and rehearsal) how can one make such blunders that too when MD of the song himself is sitting right in front(who knows every sur and taal of song)

i don't think Sharib did that by mistake.....probably he was trying to experiment a bit and thought it would sound better but obviously ID did not like it and hence the comments.....but personally i think Sharib sang really good....at least ID could have appreciated the good points instead of just pointing out what he did not like....

i think Hariji's rating was influenced by ID's comments in spite him agreeing that Sharib sang well.....i really wish the judges could hold their own instead of being influenced by others' comments

Guys,

What Ismail Darbar will achieve by being biased to UA or BS? Or how he is benefited?

How many of us are competent enough as ID to judge a singer. Person with calibre of ID does not need your or my approval or endorsement. Tell me one episode of Challenge 2005, where all the mentors and judges had same opinion about all performances? Everyone has their own standards to judge.

He always have been blunt or open for that particular performance. Not as a person in whole. If he has criticized, Sharib he has praised him for lagan lagi song. In the first elimination round of Challenge 2005 Banjo was heavily criticised by all mentors, and ID and HR had supported her in one song. He is the one to give 50 Rs. note to Vinit. That was greatest reward any one can have.

Nowadays, people do not want to take criticism and only praises. Those praises you can get only from the heroes of Tom Dick and Harry who has no knowledge on music.

ID is legend. People will reliase his value down the line.
