Just for arguements sake, Lata would deff sing in a shriller voice (not as much as Banjo though) but yes she was a bit sharper than she did later, however at that time the order of the day was singing in sharper and nasal tones. Lata Has debued in 40's & 50's where the singing style was diff from today. Have you heard Ban ki chidiya or songs by saigal. Anyways, my fav Lata song is Aaeyega Aane Wala from Mahal, but one of the antara - Deepak bager jaise, parwane jal rahe hain..koi nahi chalata par teer chal rahe hain. I think her voice is slightly sharper & a bit nasal touch is there. Where as in 60's and 70's she changed her voice with the changing times and in 80's and 90's her voice further changed with the advent of technology and her own efforts. Songs like Ho gaya ai tujhko to pyar and Didi tera dewar.
I am glad u r not comparing Lata with Banjo, nor am i, just trying to prove my point.

As far as comparison between Banjo & Ujjaini, well see the first 2 pages, people were deff trying to compare them when its not possible as U is miles ahead as per me.

And Leoni, she need not be as beautiful as Ash or sush, but she surely is a pretty girl, even if she was not, a smile is always welcome even on the most ugly people. She should smile while singing plus it will look as if she is putting less effort.

I agree with this... And this is one of the reasons why I feel deciding a winner through public voting is all wrong. Get good knowledgable people to make the judgement instead of this joke being carried out in every show on TV these days.
