Let me spell out the answers here

1. "Aaj jotsna rate sobai geche bone" : Written just after the death of his youngest son Samindranath Tagore.

2. "Tumi ki keboli chobi ..": Written after his daughter Madhurilata's death, the in laws of Madhurilata didn't even let Tagore see her during her last days.

The greatest poet of India had to face the death of all his sons and daughters and his wife in his lifetime. Maybe the deepest sorrow actually sharpen his pen more - and he gave us these gems!

3. "Jotobar Alo jalate jai nibhe jai bare bare": Tagore was member of Bramho Samaj, but once he organized "Durga Puja" in Jorasako Thakur Bari . Hindu's didn't went there - 'cause he is Bramho; Bramho Samaj boycotted him for praying Hindu Goddess! He wrote this right after that incident.

Funny thing is many young lovers of Bengal quote this in their love letters - especially when they have to write a parting letter 😆

Thanks alot Anol...You are the man of substance.Your torture was also a pleasure.

I am glad you answered last one, it's really good information which you will not find anywhere easily.

Anyways folks...Its time to put an end to this.Let me summarize my journey through this thread. It kicked off well when i considered myself privileged to to be considered for being the Member of the Week.Considering the levels set by Shady and Jaya i was a bit nervous of my abilities of not being an able successor was haunting me.By the time i realised and managedto arrange my thoughts about how to handle them, questions were fired from all corners..be it second hands,Orugnal or pictorial adaptations. For a second i was planning to coin a new term 'Brainrape' to describe my situation but finally replaced the 'P' with 'K'.Letting aside the brain-raking & thought-provoking questions, the kind of anticipatory posts from the mods made heart beat faster than usual. But then it was random brain stroming sessions for me and trust me it was all fun.I kept on rediscovering myself with each and every question and tried to cater to the members a true essence of my feeling, some of them with seriousness, some with wit and some with rhetorics. At the end of the day i consider myself a better person than a day before and i thank you all for that to happen. The most adorable thing about the whole session was the absense of Himesh and his nasally banal elements (what i am notoriously famous for) or Sharib's love life or a debate over Twinkle's hair.

My sincere request to all will be to make this place a better place for all considering the diverse audience this forum has by treating life a little more seriously. There is always something beyond Himesh,Gajji or Banjo's singing style. Its open for us too to explore those areas of life and once
again believe me-they are much more interesting than these stale and momentary spurs which fades as fast as the falling stars.

All the best to the next Memeber of the Week.Just treat this as a rendezvous with your heart, mind and soul
and it will be your days to treaure for life.

yeh aasmaan, yeh taare, yeh kirne aur sooraj ki chamak
yeh sagar ,yeh nadiyaa, yeh paani aur pyaar ki jhalak
sab dil ke taar mein mil jaate hain
keval man ka pardaa hamesha ke liye hata do
tuchh jeevan bhi mahaanta mein leen ho jaate hain..
