Annu Kapoor will host the show this time too

The big news for fans of the TV show Antakshari is that it might return. The show was yanked off suddenly for various reasons, one of them being an impasse between the anchor Annu Kapoor and the channel Zee's management.

But now Kapoor is being asked to return to host the show. "We're definitely bringing Antakshari back," says Gajendra Singh, director of the show. "We anticipate it to return some time in September, if all goes well. As far as the anchoring goes, the show seems unthinkable without Annu Kapoor. His expertise on film songs is unparalleled. However, we do intend to offset Annuji's image and personality with a young female anchor." Talks are on to bring Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contestant Himani Kapoor into Antakshari as Kapoor's co-host. "I'll focus on Antakshari as soon as I am done with Ek Main Aur Ek Tu," says Singh. The show, now hosted by Rohit Roy, will have Suniel Shetty as a star-guest on Thursday and singers Abhijeet and Alka Yagnik on Friday.
