Rajiv's farewell song - Page 3

I was really touched by Rajeev's song and I cried 😭 seeing his video. I really appreciate his talent...I guess someone should give him a chance into music industry...

Rajeev does the hard part ez (high notes) and fails on th eez part (low notes). I think it is Discipline - if he gets himself together, starts believing in himself and gets withthe program he can great. People have given him a complex that he is not trained - i say "So what". Rajeev can do it but he has to beleive in Rajeev and the rest will just flow - yeh mera dava hai 👏

Agree that Rajeev DOES have a "hearable" voice but the fact is he CANNOT sing.....recollect the voice of one SHABBIR KUMAR...who has a good VOICE but he cannot sing....Once the legend Latadi told him....aapka sur kyon bikhar jata har ? After Rafisaab's demise Shabbir was touted to be the next (?!!)....however much he trained he could never achieve a good singing voice...the reason is plain and simple...some VOICES are melodious to the ears even when they speak normally....but they cannot sing because the voice cannot attain the rythm.....otherwise we would love to hear Amitabh or Amin Sayani or even Sureh Oberoi to sing..... 😆

very well put.

as a rajeev fan, i wish i cld however be more optimistic... age is against him. by the time he learns the program, time may pass him by. then how many people can get into playback singing. having a few songs in films does not a career make. as for jazz-appeal, doesnt have that oh-cuttee kind of feel to him, so he might not be a draw at live performances either. but still wish that somehow he does well. par kaise?

well he sings in high tones/pitches and yes he misses Sur alot yet has improved over time...well glad he went out on a postive note

As for making it big to playback singing, I think none of them can really make it to Shreya's or Sonu's success level.. too many singers these days courtesy talent hunts and not enough talent.. Nihira may be moderately successful if luck favours her, and Rajeev can get some offers courtesy his different voice.. But as Rahul says, few offers does not make a career in playback singing... As for stage shows - there too the magic is difficult to last long for anyone, not just Rajeev...

But given his great original voice, I just hope that he utilizes all opportunities to learn, however late it is - its going to help him and am sure he will be able to carve out some space at the local level if not global.. and for him, even that level of success will help him realise a lot of his dreams... Hoping for his best!
