But I have recapped my own personal opinions from the start, as you can see..

is that my problem? u chose to make ur entry when u did- shld i have to now provide all and sundry fresh posts each time they join in? as it is, i am providing a recap and u have continued to insist it away as "set in stone" stuff. koi itna keh raha hai, at least stop and question. that's part of the scientific reasoning/ proof nonsense we had earlier. we do not put certain things in practice but want to make grandiose statements abt it all?

i dont want to stick it in any more, so if u agree with my recap, we can move on to the transcript. i dont really want to hold us up on that because i can gauge the excitement

I don't agree with parts of the recap, like I said. Others may have said Paresh did not give negative comments - I never said that. Others may have said negative feedback is not acceptable in the public domain - I never said that.

What I can say for sure is the purpose of quoting the Paresh Rawal comments, because I was the one who quoted those. I have already explained the reasons to you, and the reasons were not, as you say, to show that Paresh was not negative, but rather, to show that he was not blunt or overly negative - his comments were interspersed with positive comments.

And the only reason I pulled up the comments was to tackle your bluntness issue. So that is the question we need to consider - not other details of whether honesty is good or bad, or whether negative feedback is acceptable in public domain or not

look i am concerned abt some folks backtracking. i am again asking whether point 1 (together with the important pg 1 context establisher) is a correct characterization of my position. well, is it? am not asking whether u agree/ disagree with my position, just whether u agree that that was my posn.

Yes the point 1 - negative feedback is not acceptable in public view - was your position

But let me add that that was not the reason I pulled up Paresh's comments.. the reasons are your comments bolded below.. I wanted you to show me where Paresh had been blunt, and how you could improve that.. and as regards your black and white comments, paresh wasn;t black or white.. he had positive comments included in negative feedback as well.. so I wouldn't call him all black or all white at all.. more like gray..

The answer I want from you - as far my quoting comments is concerned - is not about whether he should have made them in public view or not.. but whether he was too 'blunt' or too 'black', and if so, how would you improve on those comments and still get his honest message across

regarding proof, sorry doesnt work for me! when offering honest appraisals, is blunt talk the only way? when parents are being positive with kids who are getting off-track with something, are they lying? the boss who is classy enuff to understand the difference between constructive criticism and negative feedback, he is lying? everything is black and white?

i am not sure i ever said that he is not the best. but is it not fair for someone to suggest that something cld have been better? esp. vis-a-vis negative feedback? is the world just black and white?feedback can only be blunt negative or mindblowingly great? even if it has to be criticism, it cannot be more constructively stated?

i understand ur question and it's there in the transcript, so we'll get to it.

but let's not hedge now. simply question for the umpteenth time: do u agree that what i had up there as recap together with the pg 1 context is my position? yes? no?

I agree with the first 3 points.. but not the 4th.. the purpose of showing the paresh rawal comments was not to show that he is not at all negative..

first:

now i see where we get the Paresh ROCKSSS chant from. substitute "acha laga hai" type of statements for "ROX", "accha nahi laga" for "SUC*S", and we get somewhere. ab koi aur bolta, toh we would think of them as empty-headed/ dumb, yeh bolta hai toh he sounds any better? LOL

waise, doesnt he sound like a rockstar now? u can answer this 😛

Ok let me introduce myself with a bang..... Itne bade discussion ka jo basic mudda hain me uspar prahar karoonga....

When the show started.... Paresh Rawal just introduced something about his movie and then said that this is a good platform for the youngsters to show their talent lekin bas itni dua karta hu ki logonko suroki samaj aa jaye

After first song by BS. He said that I am not an expert in music but I analyse the feel of the song.

This two sentences can be spoken only by a person who knows surs.... but is not a professional in the field.....

So basic mudda jis par ye batchit hain ki pareshji ko kuch nahi ata.... tht is gone. 😊
