doesn't it seem Ujjaini's ankle injury was conveniently timed? after a couple of weeks on the borderline, it happened during the show, and gets mentioned during, before, and after every one of their performance. rajiv with his poverty angle and ujjani with the injury thing are totally playing up the votes. really sad when it should be about just singing and nothing else.

next thing you know Ujjaini will show up in a wheelchair to sing

Ujjaini is a very very accomplished, talented, classically trained and a pretty girl. Why should she require any sympathy votes. She does not need to win this so called farse cometition to get recognized. She is already recognized and being used by the movie industry. Amongst all the C 2005 candidated she among very few such as Nihira, Hemachandra, Paresh, Swananda, Himani and few others, who, never had to resort to dirty tactics to get votes. I can name people who did it. Debojit (tried every thing such as his wife fighting for him, Assamese people, elderly people and BSNL ), Sharib (through crying constantly) and Vinit (not by himself but through his mentor), defenitely used public emotions to gain votes. Vinit is a exemplary and talente singer. He did not have to do it but Himesh used his imaginary girl friend to increase awareness and thus votes.

Do you remember how many times in C2005 she mentioned that she had dropped a year to participate in C2005 - and how important education was for middle class people. And that if people wanted her sacrifice not to go waste, then please vote for her. See the magic words - sacrifice, middle class, education. That's as big as any emotional tactics I've seen.

And even here - she's regularly harping on the youngest jodi tactic. So that everyone feels 'oh cho chweeet' and votes for them so their sweet little hearts are not broken. Okay she said it once or twice - but why repeat it almost every episode?? Note that Aishwarya never mentions it. Only she does.

And I believe that Ujjaini really did have an injury to her foot. But why does she have to specifically bring it up every time? And mention the 'dreadful pain' she was having while walking. And asking people to vote for her so that her foot gets better. I mean, come on. That's not sympathy?

Even others like Irfan had a headache and sore throat - but they never mentioned it themselves. It only came up because the judges or celeb judges brought it up. Ujjaini should take a leaf out of his book.

Note: I'm not saying Ujjaini doesn't deserve those votes. She does - she's a very good singer. But I don't like the tactics she's employing every single time.

Very good observations Shady - None of the points that you mentioned can be negated.. But whatever has been going on the show, I really have my doubts how much the conversation on stage in in-pronto and how much is scripted... For all you know, Ujjaini got this ligament problem and Gajji thought it was best to encash that... In the last episode, even the fight between HH and LL over using the stage area appeared very staged to me.. So, not sure if its Ujjaini or some other brain behind getting the focus to her leg more and more... Whoever it is, her talent really does not need these dirty games to be played and arouse public sympathy.
