It was a nice place to grow up from mid 70s to 90s. The situation has changed a little in the last 5 to 10 years regarding crime. I want my parents to move out ASAP. Especially after a recent incident involving them.

I understand about being Indianized. I also grew up outside, but I very much maintained my values and culture (I am sure my upbringing had a lot to do with this), but you do get a good balance by being exposed to other cultures too. Therefore you can take best of both worlds.

Totally agree Aruna - any cultural society has something nice to offer and we only gain immensely if we take the best out of it!😊

You mentioned something about your parents. Hope they are fine. Are they still in Africa?

Yes they are still there. They had a scary incident last year. They are ok, but I would like to see them move out of there now.
