aishwarya and ujjaini

saw last episode of emet everyone was over the moon praising ujjaini
did she sing that weel didnt seem to me so maybe its bcoz i know very little about sur and sangeet but still i felt though her performance was good it wasnt excellent its my opinion that nihira and himani used to sing much better much much netter than this
i think himanis 'jiya dhadak' and nihiras 'dil ne kaha' were much much above this performancee of ujjaini i think nihiras ishq khudai kajrare himanis chittiye oopar khuda morni and der na ho jaaye were really good i dont find this performance of ujjaini as good as all those also ive been watching saregamapa c 2005 and emet and i feel himani and nihira were a class apart and i dont think ujjaini is up to tht level{plz dont get offended its just my personal opinion i dont wish to offend anyone}

also i would to like to say that ujjaini is a very gud sinnger but not in the same class as nihira and himani think honestly without any bias or prejudice.
nihiras superior voice quality and flawless singing and himmanis soulful singing put them in a vry high level along with hema and vinit
i know i started this topic with u and a but i wrote what was on my mind
someone had started a game somewhere on this forum asking two wishes
one of my wishes wud be to see hema himani and nihira back on the show though not as jodis but as individual singers and talents.
ok ive said all i wanted to say i hope no one is gonna be angry with me
one more thing i read somewhere in this forum that in a post himani said that vinit was more than a friend to her im shocked at hhimani for saying such a thing
and i thought that she was interested only in singing very sincere to her singing himani was my favourite followed by hema and nihira but now i feel nihira is the best coz she was intersted only in singing weel and concentrated really onlu on singing not other frivolous things so now i feel hema and nihi r the best
another thing which puzzled me was that it was written himani gave the statement shes the same height as vinit 🤢 🤢 🤢
i am amazed how is that possible 🤢 🤢 🤢 did she wear two high heeled shoes one over the other that she looked so taal im stumped

Ujjaini has an excellent tonal quality in her voice. But she is very inconsistent. I mean you cant possibly compare her with Nihira. Nihira is in a different league compared to these singers.
But HImani though her voice quality is different, technically she is sound, never slips on sur and knows her limitations. So that makes her a good singer. Ujjaini is better amont these EMAET singers I guess.

yaar, when we are talking about what is essential in playback singing, the emphasis would have to be on tonal quality, other things can be corrected for with new age technology such as pitch correction and the like. if you get to live stage performance, then the focus automatically would shift to chemistry, sur, taal and the rest of it. got to know what the purpose is...

on that basis, i think ujjaini wld meet the most important criteria for playback singing- tonal quality

Voice quality of UJJAINI is FANTASTIC .... but she is too INCONSISTENT .... she can only give ONE OFF performances ..while both NIHIRA and HIMANI give excellent performances DAY IN DAY OUT .... UJJAINI needs to massively improve her CONSISTANCY if she stands even a WEE BIT CHANCE of SOMEDAY catching the two ....

You are right Chatbuster. Ujjaini if recognised will be a good play back singer. I think her lines in Alag sounds very melodious.

Alka yagnik is the same, she has a good voice, but live performance, she really does not sing well. But ofcourse her play back songs have been a hit.

fwiw, voice quality is most important for playback these days, given all the new technology which can correct for inconsistencies. better to have that quality than be an all-rounder with average distinction in voice quality...

appealed more? how about voice quality? we are not looking for a BREATH CONTROL MASTER when it comes to playback. voice quality is key. on stage, of course, other factors come into play.

on that basis of voice quality, i do find ujjaini better than n and h. sorry😊
