Playback singers need to be versatile enough to bring that chemistry in their voice not in their actions.

These shows were started to showcase talents.. not offer dating service.

but then why r they judged mostly on the basis of chemistry it looks like more of a dance show to me just my view

Ujjaini paired with Aishwariya,Vishwaas paired with Twinkle, Irfan and sinchan,Vishwanaath and raktima, Hrishikesh and prajikta, Saptak and Jyoeeta, Niladariand Vinita ..at least one wanted the other.. so almost all jodis made according to the choice..Sharib and Benz is the only couple left not per each other's choice. ...No body picked Rajiv and Sanchali given to him ...which is a perfect jodi......So basically all jodis according to choices...If sanchali was given to Sharib and benz paired with Rajiv, it would have been all perfect jodis according to the choices but Rajiv and sanchali rocks... and so do Sharib and Benz... so I think grrovis have done a good job as far as jodi making is concerned

I think doing Jodis was a bad strategy. Solo singing with Judges and no public voting format was the best .... but then the business people took over the singing competition and made politicians out of truly talented singers....... 😡

i can see where you come from regarding artistry if you are talking about a couple doing playback singing. but i am not sure that is the objective here for emaet. totally aside from the business angle, the show seems to be more about finding the best stage performers. notice that shaan keeps advertising "jodi #1", not "playback couple #1". and there's nothing wrong with that. chemistry wld then have to be a part of the stage performance.

btw, the lata-sonu example cited works because they are both such established names and legends. both have lots of songs of their own that they can entertain with which have been hits. and of course, they still have chemistry, even if individually- the Wow celebrity factor. if they were starting out today as primarily stage performers without that Wow factor, i am not sure how many wld turn up to watch them sing even with all their "artistry".
