According to my point of view if the contestants were given the choice to select 2 people of their choice they should have been paired with one of their choice.i think that ways they would have better chemistry amongst each other now some of them are forcing themselves to develope that chemistry.

I guess you have a point. But, stage chemistry can still be created. The musical tuning is more difficult. No matter how friendly you are with another contestant, you need to be able to sing with others too.

In professional singing and stage shows, its not necessary that all performers are working with people of their own choosing. 😊

IMHO professional singers are professional singers and musical tuning also comes naturally to them but here we are talking about kids who are still learning the tricks of the trade. I guess sharib- twinkle would have been a great pair as they have special affinity towards each other (though twinkle and vishwas are not doing bad either, still ...)

Does this mean when they become playback singers, they will only sing with someone with whom he/she shares a fantastic chemistry ?

Playback singers need to be versatile enough to bring that chemistry in their voice not in their actions.

These shows were started to showcase talents.. not offer dating service.

Kaash Lata ji ko bhi koi aisa mauka diya hota jodi chunne kaa???? actually those days we dn't have such greats like Gajji...we just had great singers and perfect composers...Do we still need chemistry????

The concept of the show should have been
every week one male singer partnered with a female singer selected randomly, jodis changing every week so that all the boys get to sing with all the girls.The name of the jodis announced a week early so that they get a chance to rehearse thier songs.
Based on there performances then select the most ideal jodi and declare them the winner.

You have a point there - but it wasn't possible to match everyone with their choices. Due to all the permutations and combinations, someone or the other would have to be left disappointed, especially since 3-4 ppl (Twinkle, Vishwas, Sharib, Niladri etc) were everyone's choice.

For example, no one selected Rajeev - does that mean he doesn't get a partner, because whoever he is paired with will be unhappy?

I think the judges did a good job of it - except the Banjo-Sharaib pair. They could have had Twinkle with Sharib, Vishwas with Joyeeta, and dropped Banjo on Saptak 😆. Or maybe given Sanchali to Saptak and stuck Banjo to Rajeev. 😆😆

As we can see here, the real problem is Banjo. She didn't suit anyone - she wasn't suited for a jodi competition. The only person to choose her was Irfan (and even then, she wasn't his first choice - Sinchan and Twinkle were). I think Irfan chose Banjo only cuz Gajji told him to - so that she isn't left alone, with no one picking her.

She just shouldn't have been called to this show. She doesn't even look really Indian enough (no offense to Assam people) to suit any of the guys. Feel sorry for the judges (and Sharib)

well the very first thing here is they were given the choice to select their own partners to make this soap more dramatic , so that ppl wud start all the gossips abt affairs and crushes 😆.

then pairing was done to do the balancing act as u see if ujjaini was paired with sharib for instance then they were the clear winners. so the balancing act was done.

and then its a singing contest and not any dating game show. i understand tht ppl wud like to see their 2 fav's as a pair to form an opinion.

but still they were selected according to their voice and pitch cordination. and to balance the pairs one weak link per couple😉.

after all most part is staged , how does it matter. and more over still you feel public voting here is justified .

for instance sinchan and irfan comes frm south where ppl dont watch hindi channels so they cant win no matter wht. this is injustice
