Do people identify more with male singers than female singers. In the last saregama 2005, the first three positions were bagged by male singers. Most men and women would probably say Nihira/Himani were the best among the whole male/female participants. Why did it happen?

This is not saregama 2005 discussion. The point is, Do both men and women identify more with male singers than female singers.Thinking about your top favorite (which can be a male or female singer) probably will help to find whom you identify with more: male or female singers. What is your view on this?😕

I am not so sure if it's really about whether we relate to men/women singers better. With the format of the shows, public voting, promotion of regionalism (c2005), love stories, and more emphasis on ability to 'perform', we tend to lose good singers in the process.

Nihira's "downfall" was probably because she was a simple disciplined, technically 'perfect' singer. The majority of voting public unfortunately did not see these factors as enough to motivate them to vote for her.

Other than Nihira, lately, I have not seen anyone in females of that caliber. So it could also be a simple issue of pure talent or lack thereof.

My opinion.

We say that simplicity is the best policy.
But in reality everyone like HI-Fi and Showman
type of people. That is the reason Nihira was voted
out earlier. Her Modesty was not important to the
younger generation.

Nihira is the Best

somethin that happens most of the time is people say their goin vote for somebody n end up voting for sum 1 else. i think people jus want to vote for the person that most of the crowd is voting for. cause females never get up to top 3. 😡

I believe general public is biased for men. Doesn't matter if many of them deny this fact, but the reality is....everytime male singers take the cake. It's a male driven society. It's sad, but even female public give vites to men. If in famegurukul, they didn't have an option for a jodi, rookrekha never would have won. Qazi would have been the only winner. 😕
