Frankly...I feel there is a lack of talent in this show. Challenge 05 still provided a greater variety of singers, but EMAET has shortlisted those singers and we are now listening to ... mediocre "talent."

Of the girls in EMAET, I think Sanchali and Ujjaini have the most talent and scope. Prajakta is good as well and Twinkle is borderline. I've already said it...I don't know how Sinchan made it to this platform. The rest...have mediocre abilities, but are not in the same league as professional singers. Their voices just don't have that depth and breadth in either "training" or capability.

Out of the guys... I think Saptak, Sharib and Hrishikesh have the best tonal quality. Aishwarya and Vishwanath have done well as well. Rajeev has a very unique voice...which can be good, or bad. The rest are simply okay.

So ultimately, in my views and opinions, the girls and guys are pretty equally weighted (with the guys "leading" by one actually...).

To name a few,
Nihira, Himani, Sanchali, Twinkle, Ujjaini, Raktima, Keka, Sinchan, Prajakta, Swananda...
but for boys Hemu, Sharib, Vinit(?), Debojit, Abhijit, Hrishikesh and thats all.

well its a kind of a joke i suppose or may be an example of being sarcastic right 😕

if not then think again wht are you talking about , as a matter of fact its exactly the opposite . guys are more talented here in saregamapa and girls are legging behind.

abhijit-ghosal , hemachandra , niladri , debojit , vinit , paresh , vishvanath , saptak , vishvaas , irfan , rajeev , hrishikesh inafact at some point of time all have given a fab. performance .

and if taking abt females its only.

himani , nihira , ujjaini , sinchan ...then who the list ends here.

think again and then edit ur post. i am not saying this cause i am a guy but , a true music lover. so kindly reconsider ur observation.

I think it's a perception that girls sing better than guys, because they have better, sweeter voices.

It all has to do w/ biology and female secondary characteristics.. voices are also a part of that.

Kishore/Rafi were also fabulous singers, but you never call them nightingales or even cuckoos, because while they were great singers and very talented, their voices were male.. not as sweet as female voices..

We always say Nihira has such a sweet voice, or Ujjaini has a lovely voice - we never say that about Hema, for example. We just say he's a good singer, talented, versatile, etc.. but never lovely voice.

It's the difference that was way back between Adam and Eve - and no1 can change it.

Let me give you a more recent example. In the BS jodi, recently they have been singing quite well. For all the songs, we know Sharib has sung better than Banjo, but for some reason, I've loved hearing Banjo more for some songs (like the Tauba Tauba beat, or Dil ko).

That's only because I loved her female voice singing thos songs.
