The name of Raga Sohini equivalent is Ragam Hamsanandi. There is no equivalent for Raga Marwa in the Carnatic system (the pakkad of the Marwa raga is so strange that there isnothing like it! Trying to find the Sa can drive you a headache with that raga 😕😆)

It's in the Gamanasrama Mela of the Carnatic system.

I just had another question.. I posted it else where but that topic got buried with all the other 'interesting' topics that have been started..

Is there an equivalent to the ragas in western music ? Like what Ujjaini hums in the beginning..is it a Raag too or just a melody ?
