Goodbye people

I've been on this forum since EMET started, and I've been very active in posts and replies, and had even hoped to turn viewbie for this forum. But, as things go, I'm leaving already.

There really is no point, I realized. Very few people on this forum actually care about EMET, and most still suffer from a C2005 hangover. Does it make sense that genuine posts about the current show are met with very little response, while posts that include C2005 mentor bashings or C2005 contestant fan clubs are running like on wildfire?

Even the posts that do talk about EMET are only about complaints, hate-claims, crying and bawling about degradation, and declarations from so-and-so that they will stop, or already have stopped, watching the show. If you hate it so much, then why don't you just ignore it?? Why do you have to wash your grievances in a public forum which is all about this show. Honestly, it's all quite depressing. Even someone who actually likes the show is bound to turn against it, seeing all this.

I don't know about you, but if I hate a show, I just stop watching it. I don't follow it, I don't write about it, I don't visit forums about it. I don't tell everyone else watching the show that I hate it, and that they should hate it too. I don't like Saas Bahu shows, but it doesn't mean I go on their forums and bash them.

I personally have tried to ignore all the heightened criticism and focused only on what the show is about - good or bad. Recently I had a post where I talked about the top 3 jodis being neck-to-neck, and the competition becoming tight and very interesting. But what do I get for my efforts? A PM from someone who alleges that I have been recruited by IF to write positively about the show?? I mean - Come on! Just because you hate the show doesn't mean that anything that's positive about the show, or anything that's against your views, is rigged or planned. Grow up!

As for the posts, I barely see 3-4 responses to my actual, thoughtful, EMET related posts, while a PJ post on Himesh gets hundreds of replies. Tsk! And you call yourself music lovers.

One other reason why I am leaving is because some people doesn't seem to understand when we say - "Please don't post spoilers in topic headings!" The main attraction of the elimination day episode is the suspense. People don't sing as well on that day - and even gurus don't give any points. So elimination is all we have to look forward to. Yet some hyperactive people keep posting the spoiler in heading - and Mods don't even hide that heading either. One of the most exciting things about C2005 was to see people get eliminated each week, but here I'm finding it out even before it happens, and it's not fun. So it's best that I stay away from this forum.

I would only be coming on here twice a week to check out the videos posted by topranger (thanks topranger!). In fact, I wouldn't even come for that if they showed EMET in US at the same time as India. I'd just rather have watched it at home.

shadyhtown this is nothing new on IF... u r unhappy about EMAET as a show being bashed... but think about us, when our favorite contestants inc2005 were bashed like hell during the show... but we did not leave the forum... u just have to live with it... initially u counter it by back lashing... then u take a break for sometime... but then u just get used to it and stay happy saying good about whom u like and trying to ignore other posts that u dont like... i dont think there's anything wrong in talking about c2005 contestants here as no seperate section has been made by the mods for c2005... its is the show that brought us to IF... and that is what we r still here for... i think this section wud be dead without it...

Well gaji should have thought about that though me I have posted in all sections and on this its hard to watch the show i am not glued..

only one that got me to really watch was when HR was a guest I think we miss the old mentors alot adesh, j-l, hr, and ismail

even hrcritics watched .....I think if thesse mentors are guest judges than emAET may generate interest...

the groovy gurus though great in their own right just
not the same.....its not this section its all over the net that this show is not sa 2005

well if it is only on ek main aur ek tu this place willbe a ghost town like the serial secions. this is the most happening section... where people have gotten to know one anoter and all...

some here to relax

others here to see the musical posts intellectual ones

others here to have masti

my opinion none is wrong if a section is ruling it means its successful and a website tobe successful needs people and some tmes its quiet here.....

mostly we all here have to have a open mind too

if want to talk on emaet than go ahead peopledo,

if want nusic posts good

if want entertainment goood

we should look at positives in life not negaives

There is no reason to restrict anyone's views !

Asking members here to cut down on chat and stick to music related posts was in itself rather curbing ... but now to direct the same music related posts such that they substantiate only EMAET would set in feelings of claustrophobia....

For many members here (including me) ... this forum is a platform to come in and meet with people of like-minded tastes and discuss 'various' issues....

That's what most forums are about too.... Example: When I join a cooking forum I expect that mostly I would exchange recipes et al with people who enjoy cooking but at the same time I form a bond with these guys and exchange some repartee and some friendly banter.....and I form a feeling of camaraderie with them - especially because of the "like-mindedness"

Now to ask that I join a 'chatting' forum just because I want to chat is unfair ... because you see... I don't want to chat - per se.... No Siree.... that is sooo not what I want to do!!!

Especially not in those chat forums where there is a hoi polloi with varied thoughts.... and no semblance of coherence in the chats themselves.

Like someone is talking about politics, while someone is talking movies, while others talk about p orn. That kind of chat gets stifling very soon....

But a light-hearted banter with like-minded people who love music and who - love Himesh 😛 as much as I do.... now that is what I like...

and what I also like - is a healthy mix of a variety of thoughts - not an autocratic forum !!!

Shadytown,sorry to read about the frustrations you have gone through...

The people who wants serious discussions are not in majority...so the responses for serious discussions are not many...It also depends on the mood of the people

My idea coming here is to have fun... at the same to gain from some good posts...to compare myself with other people if they think same as me..

People have so many memories of C2005 and it is probably discussed much more than EMAET...

You are a viewbie..you know every thing about what goes on in here..I have enjoyed your posts...
