Abhishek roots for his namesake!

He's known as the Abhishek Bachchan of Indian Idol. Karunya who's all but been declared the Indian Idol by the three judges Anu Malik, Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan, has found unlikely support.

Abhishek Bachchan who's shooting in Turkey took time off to speak about Karunya. "Is he really known as the Abhishek Bachchan on Indian Idol? It's very flattering and humbling. I wish him all the best. I'll be rooting for him during the finals," says Bachchan.

In Hyderabad (his home town) Karunya is thrilled to hear this. "Wow, is he really going to root for me? I met him at the Filmfare awards and he said, 'Dude do they really think you resemble me?'" says KarunyaEcstasy apart, Karunya is a worried guy. "Unlike Sandeep whose home state is voting for him, people in Hyderabad are just not rooting for me. Forget sending SMS votes, they aren't even watching me on Indian Idol. I'm worried about the outcome in the finals. If I don't get the votes I won't be the Indian Idol."

In Hyderbad Karunya was received at the airport by the city's mayor. "It's all unreal. Do I really deserve all this?" he asks.

This is true story..he definitely needs home votes....Hope Hyderababd votes this time unlike thay had done for Hemachandra......all the best Karunya......

Not Quite True.There's tremendous enthusiasm here in Hyd'bad,at least.
College students have been campaigning all round.I c many posters of Karu thz days.

Inner part of andhrapradesh is not watching hindi programs

Only people in HYderabad know hindi .In other parts of AP doesn't know hindi

BTW I liked amey in ii so ii is over long back for me.

II2 has been faded by srgmp c2005... i dont think it has the same public interest as II 1...

Among Karunya and Sandeep, Karunya is better,But Amey was better than Karunya...

The focus ppl had on karu is more compared to hemu. they started realising there mistake. hope karu wins.
