A R Rahman : Non-Hindi works

As many others I am a BIG fan of A R Rahman. I believe he is the best contemporary music director.

Apart from Hindi movies ARR showed his magic in many Tamil (obviously), Telegu, Malyalam, English as well as Mandarin (Chinese) movies (Warriors of Heaven and Earth). He also worked in Lord of the Rings - Musical.

I have some of the non-hindi works of Rahman. Anyone Interested?

Also – please share your thoughts on Rahman's works.

Rahman's Saathiya in Tamil/Telugu is just beautiful....

BTW : One of the best Maniratnam's movie too - non-tamil friends get a DVD and watch it with subtitles. You will be mesmerized.

Same here. He combines both technologoly and music to make his music. I can never forget the music of Roja and Bombay.

And my thoughts on ARR...

Wonderful music starting from 'Roja'....it was like a fresh breath of air....each song can be heard over and over again...so melodious....

He carved a niche for himself....he was recently in Hong Kong...the show was a smash hit...

The best part I like in him is apart from being a simple down to earth guy, he provides opportunities to up and coming artistes...and gives the required credit to other musical talents in his troupe...e.g. SivaMani's rhythm solo in each of his conerts.....flautist Naveen Kumar's (thanks for giving me his name!) solo's in live concerts....

there are so many virtues of this genius that you can go on and on for ever....

Last but not the least, my wife simply loves ARR's music...😳

Actually I saw Roja andbombay and thoughtboth were great movies and with great scores. I think thing the orginal version of roja was in tamil right ?
