AMey is a good singer, but he has either not chosen appropriate songs, or just hasn't sung his best the last two weeks. Everytime I hear his Rang de Basanti, I crack up. His Mahi Ve was disappointing too.

Agree on Mahi Ve... I'm not sure if there were imperfections in sur.. I have heard it only once, but it definitely missed the "kick". The song, esp the Mahi Ve piece would suit someone with a bold voice .. Amey's voice was soft, just like Vinit's. If Sonu had sung Mahi Ve insted of Shankar, Amey and Vinit's versions would probably have sounded closer to the original.

Karuniya and Hema are both good, I am sure Karunya can not sing better than Hema because this song suit to Hema more than Karuniya. I like both. Karuniya is also very versatile singer and can sing all kind of song.

BUT, Is it valid to discuss contestant from different contest and comparing with contestant from SRGMP here?? I have idea why not we go to II-forum and participate there, so that we will make more friends and more topic to discuss. And regular member of II forum will also get happy.

I am damn against this kind of comparison, SRGMP is entirely different kind contest. SRGMP aim is to give play-back singer, II aim is to give performer plus singer.

I watch II2 just for Karunya. Love his voice!!! He is so much in control as he sings. I am really looking forward to this weeks Ramta Jogi. It sure seems like the NC family is truly gifted musically. First Hemachandra and now Karunya 👏 Both are superb!

I dont like it when singers in II sing songs sung by SRGMP singers, comparisions are bound to come!

Assuming the shows are being truthful and honest, then Hema's performance of Ramta Jogi was phenomenal because it was like a Judge's choice episode so he was given the song on the spot..he must have got like say 1/2 hr to practice at the max..so to sing almost impromtu, its great...

I think Karunya can just sing as good as Hema, cannot better him.

Coming to Amey vs Hema, Amey is almost 10 years older than Hema, to say he is better than Hema is really harsh..becuase you are talkin about a person who has had FAR FAR FAR more singing experience than Hema. Amey's weakest point is he really isn't good with new fast songs. When he sings old songs or slower songs he does a fantastic job.. When he sang 'Tum Aa Gaye Ho Noor Aa gaya hain', it was just phenomenal.. he sang just 2 lines, it was beautiful..his laga chunari pe daag was fantastic..tum jo mil gaye ho was gud.. i didnt like his aadat that much, rang de basanti n mahi ve were just painful.. he also has breath issue which is very clear at times.. u can hardly hear it when hema or karunya sing.. Amey is a great singer no doubt..but its not fair to compare him with Hema..

fm_qazi ji, SRGMP in the past few episodes stressed quiet a bit on performance too.. for most part barring a few singers, most of htem used to dance on the stage.. and interact with the camera... just that there is no Farah khan to torture them if they close their eyes...

my hemu iz the best..karu iz not bad..he sings sukhwinder's songs really well so there iz a chance that he will do full justice to this one too.. but hemu iz the best...............
