Thanks.. I had actually posted a question in the other thread about this.. because I have seen his name mentioned in Patiala and in Kasur gharana.. I got even more confused because the same thing I have seen with regards to Munawwar Ali Khan sahab.. since he was Bade Khan saab's son, and I believe was also trained by him, when I saw his name linked with Kasur, I was wondering whether there is a link.. I am not very familiar with Kasur gharana..thanks for clarifying my doubt..

Mishtimoni...
you would find ustad ali baksh khan's name in kasur patiala gharana...he came to patiala with ustad kale khan..BAGK was ustad ali baksh khan's son....

chahoonga main tujhe
parda hai parda
ajki raat mere dil ki salaami

Guys I can go on and on..

Would like to add though..

Khoya khoya chaand.....

Abhi na jao chhodhe ke (with Asha)....

Kya hua tera waada......

Hoke majboor mujhe usne bhulaya hoga (with Manna da, Talat saab and Mahendra Kapoor ji).....

Tum mujhe yon bhula na paoge....

And may be lot many more.....

I think we were only asked to list Rafi solos. If we start listing duets, it would be an endless list!

Just found that "gareeb jaan ke" is from Choomantar. You can listen to it at http://www.musicindiaonline.com/l/17/s/movie_name.484/. It is listed as "tumhi ne dard diya" in that. I forgot that it's a duet with Geeta Dutt.

Thanks Abhi.
Rafi Sahab was, is and will ever remain the best.As for the comparisons, whoever makes them, if they listen to even 10 Rafi songs, they will realise what blasphemy they were indulging in.
Thanks once againg for both the articles.
