I dont understand the logic of giving an award for being a 'winner among girls'. the rules of the game was to select ONE winner and that winner was Debojit. There were never two seperate comepetions going on..One for boys and one for girlss..it was just one competition with one winner to be declared so how did himani suddenly become a winner?

Anyways , Nihira doesnt need all these so called trophies. She is recognised as the best by all and has good projects on hand which speak volumes in itself.

Donot worry guys, I am the biggest fan of Nihira and Nihira doesnot need any such shit trophy presented by Gajendra (Gaddha singh). Her talent itself is her victory. Everybody has recognised that she is only the best. She has got very good projects in her hand. She has been approached by big MDs like Shankar Ehsaan loy who is a Filmfareaward winner and also Ismail darbaar who gives award winning music and also many more. That itself is a victory for her. What is Himani having today. Only that Chingaari and definitely she will be approached by shit MDs like Himesh Reshamiya thats all and she needs to be hyped by people like Gadha singh. Thats all. In my opinion the true talented singers who were voted out were Hema and Nihira. While Vineet and Himani were just hyped and were not as good as Nihira and Hemu. I am very happy that atleast if not Hemu or Nihira, Vineet and Himani has not won the challenge and it is the true talented guy Deboo who has won it. He is also not less talented.

Exactly, thanks for this post. Yes, Nihira is/was too good for this contest. Both Hema's and Sharib's ousters were a shame. Debojit was the underdog for whatever reasons, but in the end his talent, hard work, and decency paid off. The good thing for all of them, even those challengers that I was not too fond of, is that they got exposure. The rest is up to fate now. I hope all 12 finalists are able to move forward in their careers.

I think Nihira/Hema/Himani should have been given trophies. Did Vinit get trophy? I didn't see.

To me Nihira seems to be a kind of girl who likes to keep to herself only and we should respect that. IMO she never cared about phal (award/trophy), hamesha karm karti rahi. Jaisa GITA mein kaha hai Bhagwan Shri Krishna ne.

She didn't get trophy, SO WHAT she touched millions of heart with her soulful voice.

And also people do not bash Himani, she is a talented singer too.

Just assume if himani has come last in the contest Mr.Gajendar will create some stupid nuisance to find her some kind of award ,so please my friend he was not fair at all with that girl ,he plays completely favourtism to himani that not the way ,all the viewers agree with this ,he has given the award to vinit for runner up as is should be ,he deserves ,he should given to hemachander for 3rd place what is this fourth place ,what kind of B.S is this award among the girls,tell me this she is the winner no ,so take the damn award back form her .
she did do anything specailly that nihira did not do ,oh yeah i am sorry nihira did not dance like himani may be that the reason for the award.

I would say that the discussion would be in the opposite direction if Himani WASN'T given an award. Perhaps, gajji felt that it would please the audience to give an award for the female "winner" too. If he didn't, we probably would have said "Oh, the girls were good in their own way. There should have been two winners-male and female."

NIHIRA is the Best Female Singer and she is going to become a famous singer, ALL THE BEST NIHIRA. Nihira has to prove by getting more songs and keep himani down, so that Gaji will know who is the real female singer. We all love you nihira

This is matter of principle of globally spread show, its base, its theme, its journey, its condct, and its outcome...

One has to go by rule, that's what they did –going with counts of public voting. Fair enough.

If you declare in advance there would be 2 winners then you are bound to follow per that.

So after NJ's ouster if final-5 gives you 3 boys and 1 girl, that Girl should have then and there itself been considered 1 winner from 2. Why to keep her open in voting? (giving room for confusion to 17-yrs' walkouts…)

Any way, that's all mess of voting and numbers.

When it comes to trophy –is it for singing talent? Then, ok, there wasn't any assessment made in finals! So you have to listen experienced singers saying there subsist the talent. Now when someone says 10 grade student competing 5 greade, do you think it's worth asking school to publish my rank. Do true singer really needs renown? Let the melody emerge from vocal choral and it goes to ears and imprint. Of course, a medium is needed to carry it. If it is well marked Zee's SRGM, then who (singer) will not want to make use of it? But is the medium demand something else than sining, then singer better leave that aside.

It's known only to NJ why she appeared in SRGMP? may be reversal, may be to learn more, or get to know more about music, trend, mentors, but I gess definitely not for winning, that too when the rating switched from music pandits to layman judgment. You know the voters' eligibility -- w/ or w/o music ABCD. So whatever pleases to my eyes I will try to vote in that line, co'z I will get to see it tomorrow also.

BTW, during the journey of SRGMP something realized to many project planners, that someone is OK in singing, but very inclined to the performace on stage. So slowely and carefully the show introduced 'performance' branding to have even more salebale package –the need of age when other channels race with II and Gurukul.

Nayway, while balancing the two aspects—the singing (music) / show (performance), the later took lead and then and there the eclipse started showing the result of good singers going out. Many of you felt as if the ouster pattern reversed! But you were smart to make out the something was going upside down. Some got benefits for own sake some have to join the trend for mutual and cooperative effort to see the final marketable package. If anyone is given more coverage for his/her own popularity then why should you object? The channel and events are meant for that. !

Just for sake of foresee, just imagine the contest was organized by Radio Channel than TV !!!!
