I vote for Debojit and prefer him over Vinit purely based on singing prowess. If one starts looking at a contestant background history, trials and tribulations and what not then there are so many budding singers in India who have had it worse. We cannot help all of them out. 😕

Very nicely crafted topic. I agree on each and every point. I was never Debo fan in the beginning, He was after Niladri in my favorite list, but the way he had carried all these things, he came up #2 on my list. He was actually not favorite singer of ID even, but he improved consistenently and make place in ID heart too as he made place in our hearts. He is really a nice person and Now I really do not care who wins the final, I care about who had been noticed most. Debojit is one of 4 contestants who had been noticed by music industry.

A very good post and well written also. Debu was not my favourite to begin with. It was Nihira but after she left and the "walkout Natak" by other 3, I had nothing but respect for Debu. I wish him all the best in his life.

Please don't discount role of SRGMP (your title says that) - its only because of SRGMP that he is known to so many people.
