Please read the post carefully before you comment. To be honest my choice was Nihira – without any doubt. For the second place I was always confused between Hemachandra and Debojit – sometime Hemu stole my heart, some places Debu did the magic. Now both Nihira and Hemu is out of the contest – there is only one choice for me – Debojit.
Why Debu should win?
- Debu got a great voice. He made numbers of mistakes initially – but he improved in every show – that's learning curve – we should appreciate it. He got an original voice (NO I am not comparing him with KK or anyone else)
- Debu triumphed over Vinit on Fame 2005 – judge was Pundit Jasraj – I trust his judgment.
- Because HR should lose – he scandalized my / our favorite program (in fact the only show I watch in Hindi channels). He transformed the show into a political melodrama. Here goes some specifics:
- "I always trusted Vinit, never changed party" – what that means?? If you are a Guru and have 5 students under you, it's very human that you will have your favorite – but behaving step-motherly to others (specially Ujjaini and Paresh) and taking pride on that – ridiculous!
- He is an hypocrite – In the preliminary round he said about Nihira – "She is like a student of 10th standard in comparison to other contestants who are like 5th standard students". After that, during the Walkout drama – he dare to say – 'iske bad koi bhi Nihira ka naam nehi lega"
- I'll not go into clichs of 'Topi', "Love Story" etc. That's too much of noise already.
- He is Geographically challenged – Asaam / India massacre, Calling West + Central zone as 'Universal" zone, 7 states of NE = Asaam!!!
- He turned Vinit into a politician too.
- He blatantly copies compositions from Paki bands and LP's old songs.
- Vinit is a good singer too – but he needs to go through classical training for a while (specially to work on the low notes). By hyping him now actually you will kill a good talent. HR will use him anyway to sing his nasal and/or Sonu copy type songs. BTW : did you heard the duet Vinit recorded with Sunidhi Chouhan? Eeeks!
- Asaam's voice / India's Voice controversy is a complete BS. If we are ready to accept the selection through democratic voting system – we should accept the shortfall of democracy too. Any democracy is actually quite regionalized (in India or in US or anywhere else). By democratic choice – Nihira is not in top 4, No Entry is better movie than Black, Dhoom is the best song of 2005!!! Accept it and move on.
