IMO, like HR she is also trying to gain few centimeter columns in press...to top it all, understand from the posts above, she goofed up by giving a wrong name of American Idol winner....some standards???

Kelly Clarkson was not the best contestant on American Idol 1 either. She also won because of her looks and popularity. Ofcouse she was a very good singer but NOT THE BEST. Now you praise her because she got the Grammy's. But lady if Vinit or Debojit gets the filmfare someday then you will not have the same views then.

how come u dont know who is shailaja bajpai. she is also one of regular columnist in the indian express writing article on telescope every week. [she writes her views about all the channels and the events of the week]

Both contestents are not winning material. I agree with Ms Bajpai. Public voting will never favor any women singer over men singer. I think all the contestents got a nice platform to be recognized. Now it is up to them to make it or break it!
