Who was the first one to be picked up by mentor among 16 ale singers.Does anybody know?

It was not Debo not Vinit and NOt Hemu too..

It was Niladri ... First chance was given to yalgaar gharana(By picking up chit) ID chose Niladri..Next tyrn was of AS..

Hemachandra was first choice by AS.. Hema was the second to be selcted among all participants..

Out of 16 contestants..(6+2, 2 being voted out previously,i.e Rajeev and Vishwas) contestants includingDebo and Vinit along with other singers like Rajeeev,Vishwas had to sing again to prove themself.

After that they got entry to Gharaanas.

Situation may not remain same all the time.Deby has improved a lot with time.Hats off to ID...
