Okay here is yet another gem amongst us, about whom I forgot to mention earlier..(apologies Bhaskar!)

Sujalfan's name is Bhaskar Pratap Thakur. He was born and brought up at Shimla. Did his schooling there and then got admision in Computer Science at IIT. Afer doing BTeck he went off to do job, did not like it and within 1 year came back to IIT again and started doing his PhD. Has almost finished it too....

For those who know less about him, he is the same mild guy who invariably replies to all your PMs and tries to maintain peace in this section... soon to be Dr. (Sujalfan) Bhaskar Pratap Thakur....

Thanks..I dont know how to react. This is extreamly humbling..putting me in the same pedastal as other great musicians. All i can do is 😳 ..

Vidya (vidyaah)comes from a musical family and all her relatives, cousins are musicians (will get the names and update them later).

She learnt music and classical dancing for 15 yrs from the age of 5. She has given a few stage shows in Chennai/US during music seasons.

After her studies , she came to America- bayarea for work. She is currently involved in a project where they want to put all slokas/epics in music. Currently they have done thiruvaimozhi, kamba ramayan( 2 important slokas in tamil).

She has cousins who are great singers and both of them sing for ARR, IR, SEL (? will update later) and other musicians. So, any doubt in music she can easily bang their doors. :)

Any doubts, we can bang her doors, for sure!?!😉

Ruby has done Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani classical and plays a little of casio and piano and knows a little violin playing as her elder sister is trained in it.

Ruby is an Engg graduate in Mechanical and is joining MALCO in the next month. She has also given NIFT and will do Fashion Technology, if she gets selected.

Any newly discovered talents in this family of ours?

B.V.S.S.Lakshmi, often referred to as Veena Subbalakshmi in music circles in Vizag, is an acclaimed Veena artiste, singer(Light and Carnatic), writer(many of her short stories are published in AndhraBhoomi & Prabha), her articles on analysis of works of Trinity and other write-ups related to Carnatic music are published in Ganakala, only music magazine in Andhra), composer(composed many musical features and provided music for Kuchipudi Ballets like Natyaavirbhavam, Nadavedam,SwarnaBharati etc).

'luvmusic' herself learnt Carnatic music and Light music from her mother and Smt.Sarada Subrahmanyam for abt 10 years and after a gap for 6 years she is now back to daily practise and learning through net.

'pam309' learned dance in Hyderabad from Vempati China Sathyam's disciple. Though she is an accomplished 'kuchipudi' dancer, she left it as she moved to Kuwait along with her husband. Understand she did an impromptu dance, to Shri. Balamurali Krishna's Tillana, during one of his visits to the Gulf. Btw, she is also an Engineer in Electronics and Communications.

'kd286' (Deepa)'s grand father is the famous Shri. Kamalakara Kameswara Rao who directed evergreen films like "Narthanasala", "Pandava vanavasam", "Maha mantri timmarusu" etc. Great celebrity that he is, he was associated closely with Shri. Ghantasala and other celebrities during filming of these evergreen movies.

kishore_bhakta:

Understand kishore_bhakta is a talented person and plays a number of instruments. Of late we have not seen educative posts from this gentleman. Those who know more about him, please post in this thread.

We already know bigmac i.e., AnuragHarsh is another celebrity/gem in this forum with his brilliant posts. Those who haven't known about him yet, can go to any of his posts which has a link to his personal website.

Understand from their posts that 'maniguha' and 'autmother' are also classically trained musicians. Appreciate if they or any one who know about them can post more details about their talents here. Thanks.

In addition to the few mentioned above, there are a quite a few number of celebrities/gems hidden among IF members. Humble that they are, all these hidden gems may not come out and talk about themselves. Hence, I encourage friends of these hidden gems/ celebrities to post particulars of such gems here. While posting, please use discretion so that the person's privacy is respected.
