There are 3 of my friends who're girls...not from NE....they live in a PG Hostel about half a kilometer from my house. But after dark, if they visit me, i make sure i walk them back to the PG Hostel. Delhi SUCKS BIG TIME. I love the North East. I have been to Meghalaya and Assam. Assam is so beautiful, and Meghalaya is even more so. And the people are so delightful...had gone to Guwahati for the 2004 National Children's science congress...venue was Cotton College...the people were so courteous, so understanding...they were really superb! The volunteer girl assigned to our group during the opening march was sweet, nice and pretty and really awesome 😉

India and the Indian Govt. should be ashamed for ignoring the NE for such a long time. If this is the attitude shown by the Govt. and some people, then ULFA is justified in its separatist policy, so are the Nagas.

I agree with you man. NE has always been underestimated by the central govt. I feel each and every body from Assam and NE should stay united in whichever place they stay. Few people consider us as dehatis, but they don't know that people of NE are more educated and civilised than many other parts of India.

DElhi and NCR: no. 1 in Rape and gayism. Most unsafe place for women. I know this coz I worked in Delhi for more than 4 yrs.

UP/Bihar: Well known twin sister for corruption , crime and dirty politics

Maharastra/Gujarat: No. 1 in regionalism and non-secularism. We don't use Jai Hind and then Jai-Assam or Jai Bengal, but they shout Jai HInd/Jai maharastra. Boss of the state - a self declared fundamentalist responsible for the death of hundreds during riot. Most unsafe city with bomb blasts, hafta, dadagiri, bhaigiri and sex scandals.

NE recorded the least cases of rape and murder last yr by any civilians. Most of the crime are either commited by uniformed people(read army) inside trains, in Kamakhya temple or hindi speaking people staying in NE.

There are extremists all over India...some are visible and some are in disguise (read politicians coz most of them are from criminal background especially from UP and Bihar). I am not supporting any extremist group, but ULFA has never harmed any common people like us.

So, before uttering any bullshit about Assam and NE, peep inside your own home and check out your own status. How safe are you inside your home?? If you are in US...ain't u a second class citizen...victim of racial and derogatory statement by the whites.

I am an Indian and I am a Bengali and I am proud of it, but I won't tolerate any bullshit about my place of birth and I mean it.

Debo has made the people of NE united bcoz the way HR, AS depicted as if Assam is a alien state and not a part of India. Give us a break...we have, we will vote for DEbo till he win coz we firmly believe that his voice quality is far far superior than that puberty voice Vineet.

I'm the one who always beleives in INDIANISM and rather than REGIONALISM. I had seen all this coming when SRGMP people started encouraging the contestants to ask for votes from their region. Now the situation has gotten out of hand. I'm deeply hurt by all the people talking in terms of regionalism. Please don't call NE region as non Indian...by saying so you're not only insulting the people there but also our soldiers who are putting their lives in danger there keeping guard against the chinese so that we the people are safe and sound.
I believe I belong to each and every part of India and If anyone (even if he/she is a fellow Indian) will try to insult any part of India, I'll OPPOSE it because INDIA IS MY MOTHERLAND!!
