Moderators, I want some answers

I am not a very active member, but I am a silent reader and post whenever I find some time.

I enjoy coming to this forum but sorry to say, saregamapa has been a total let down as far as moderation is concerned. I have not seen any other forum so mismanaged on India Forums as this one, and I have been coming on IF for a long time now.

The mod here has a terrible habit of closing off any post she does not like. As members, don't we have rights to disagree ? And if we disagree with a mod and her choice, should she silence her opposition by closing the topic ?

I have seen scores of anti debo posts not getting any attention, but write one line against that insufferable HR, in fun or otherwise, the topic gets closed. Or else, can anyone explain why this topic got closed?

This is just one of them. I can cite several more and the excuses given to close them are pathetic.

I want to say I have seen most of the mods in India Forums doing a wonderful job and hats off to them. But when I come to this forum, I feel that here some sort of manmani is going on and no one says anything 🤢.

I don't want to create any misunderstanding or a fight, and neither I want anyone to think I am posting this to create discord. I just want a valid answer. If someone does not agree with me, then I should also get the right to close a topic, or else a mod should also not misuse her power to do as she pleases.

I hope and pray all the mods out there see this and answer me instead of shying and dodging once more.

I am disturbed. I also want some answers.

If you are expecting sensible answers then you are at a wrong place pal..I was like you and sometime back even I got irritated by biasness shown by a moderator and even using the their power to flex some muscles by closing the topics... which makes the whole forum definition null and void..

so all you will get in answer is closure of this thread.......😆

chayya i won't be closing this thread don't worry. as for the topics which have been closed, i can assure you that most of them have been either filled w/profanity & abuse or have gone beyond limit.

Feel free to PM me if you want some more explanations.

i totally agree with chayya. in past i had complained about same thing but my topics were closed too. you are lucky that your topic is not yet closed.

i will say agaian that moderator's job, in my view, should be limited to editing out profanity. he/she should not decide what should be discussed in this forum and what should not be discussed.

at the same time i have noticed that topics by those who vouch for moderator's fairness are not closed. they get special protection. just to test moderator's fairness i had requesting closure of a topic "call to all senior members" requesting taking out cudgels on the members who questioned moderator's fairness. that topic was not closed for a long time. it eventually was closed after persistent pestering through PMs.

Chhaya...many of the posts have turned violent in the last few days...and that was unacceptable, no wonder the threads were closed.

what was violent about the topic questioning moderator's fairness?

Well...moderators actually are NOT biased well just one moderator is.
She has an attitude like "I am gonna close it, what the heck you'r gonna do about it. bash HR once again and this topic is gone."
Nothing personal against her...just as a moderator, could have been better. But HR is so filthy animal, that if noone closes those topic...forum would be trash can.
