If Debojit or Vinit become Voice of INdia like you are saying, what about winners on Indian Idol and gurukul and other crappy shows on reality television now.
So please dont insult music and India by giving titles to these mediocre singers and dont give too much credit to Indian public for choosing a good singer

But the fact is that the numbers dont lie. Out of the 2 - Debo and Vinit, Vinit gets more votes from all over India. Out of the 50 lakh votes Debo got last round, he got 36 lakhs from Assam i.e. 72% and Vinit got only 9 lakh votes from North. So his balance 36 lakhs came from West - South and East. Where as Debo got only 14 lakh votes from the other 3 zones. So this proves the point that Vinit is having more uniform support.
Nothing can change facts so please accept them. I am not commenting on their singing here, just their universal acceptance.

Why do you assume that all the people voting from the west are originally from those states? I'm sure there are tons of north Indians living in these areas and could be voting for Vinit. To say that is a neutral zone is totally pointless unless you know the ethnicity of the people from each of the zones. I am a UP'ite living in Bangalore and voting for whoever sings well -- currently it is Debojit as I can't stand Vinit's shrieking so do you count me as a south indian. When I voted for Hemu, my vote was from his home zone even though I am from UP. India is not such a place where people only live in their states. Esp. in bigger cities, there is a mix of people so whoever believes that Vinit has universal appeal should think about the underlying facts also.

umm.. actully.. debo won.. according to some sources.. i dont want him to win 🤢 but he did! i just hope thats not true
