Debojit, the pride of Assam mesmerizes Guwahati

(A report from a Debojit fan who travelled 700Kms to meet Debojit)
The moment when Debojit Saha landed on the soil of Guwahati at the Borjhar (Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi ) airport, it seemed like the king has arrived at his capital , people from all aspects and parts of life were crowding outside the airport to get a glimpse of their hero .. their boy.. their representative .. DEBOJIT !!

Then began the coronation ceremony of the king, I mean he was almost clothed from head to toe with the gift of ASOMIYA GAMOCHA, atleast a 1000 gamochas were offered to him as a token of people's love at the airport itself and Debojit could sense the craze and liking amongst people regarding him. He has had such a mass appeal that he has united peple across party lines regional barriers and linguistic differences with his music, because music has no boundaries no limits and he has once again proved that UNITED WE

The journey :
Debojit reached the gate of Cotton college at 4:15pm a journey from Borjhar airport that takes around 40 mins took 4 and half hour and by that time he was like flooded with people from all around and he could hardly feel anything amidst the bustle and hustle created all over .He was like DEBOJIT in wonderland .. just could not believe his senses that he was in the same Assam from where he hails form where few people did not know him 100 days back and today he was a VVIP..He told that he cannot get out of the euphoria and the dream for
a long time and shall cherish the memories all his life always and all ways
In a press conference that was arranged in the office of AASU at around 4:30 pm he greeted the people from all over NE and also appealed to people from all over india to support him. He spoke of the support people has shown towards him in testing times and the encouragement that many of his near and dear ones have given him. Behind every successful men there is a woman and so he specially mentioned the contribution of his wife Bandana Paul and he also spoke volumes about his own silchar and Premasish deb and Sanjib Biswas were amongst the two names which did came out of his musical lips.
Then there was a brief program outside Rabindra Bhwan there he sang Bhupen Hazarika's "O Ganga Tumi", Bishnu Prasad Rabha's song and one from Saathiya "Oh Hum Dum suniyo Re". People were mesmerised to hear their favorite singer live, and people agreed that Debojit in Assam is not a name but a phenomenon and a representative at the national level for the region after Mr. Bhupen Hazarika.

I was one of the witnesses to his magical ceremony of coronation,of welcome, of greeting, of joy and dont know what more to say. The brahmaputra was flowing with our emotions out tears of joy ,and the
water sounded the sound of our hearts..
After that he went to Hotel ASHOK-BHRAMAPUTRA for the shoot which went on till 2 am in the night after that the city seemed to take a break from their musical and emotional hangover .. the outburst was one of unity one of emotions of of oneness and DEBOJIT and proved one thing –the POWER of ONE .. that one man can unite people from AGP … BJP… Congress, across party lines from . AASU.. Bhramaputra Valley.. Barak Valley..to NE … and India . All stand by one and he is DEBOJIT …
I might have been a bit scattered in my description of Debojit but don't blame me it's the excitement and the emotional euphora that has overshadowed our mind and soul and heart and has engulfed us.
After travelling 700 kms (350 each way from Silchar to Guwahati and back) in 36 hrs. It has definitely begun to take its toll on my sleepy eyes and high spirit…
