agree with ruby ... and if u r saying that she was not a good singer ... so its mean tumhe gana sunne ki tameez hee nahi he ... she is just perfect ... and u'll know that after 4 or 5 munths ... or jab tum khud nihira ke gane garae hoge ...

i think both shreya ghoshal n nihira joshi r the real and perhaps the two biggest finds of saregama from the time it first started. they are the kind of singers who will endure. based on current trends, the market for melodic music is small, and the barriers to entry r high because u need so much RARE talent to break in. but once u break in, just like lata n asha, u can stay for a long time. shreya n nihira have that rare talent n between them they have the ability to stay on top of that market.

all the others, from himani on to vinit etc, were and are just like the current fashion of the season. and like fashion, they will be discarded after a few seasons. their "teenie-bopper pop" market is big, but fast changing n they do not seem to have the character to sustain them. too much ego n success so soon n they have probably lost the ability to change with the times.

oddly, much as i did not care for paresh's singing, i think he's another guy to watch out 4- simply because he will have the opportunities overseas to hook up with some good group n further develop himself. another apache indian character in the making?

but Nihira, I dont think so.she is a great singer but I still think she needs to smile more on stage and be more confident, too!!She Deserves have those two things!!

Nihira has not even started a career and you expect the world out of her. It is you who is makign the analogy with singers like Asha Bhonsle and Lata Mangeshkar. They have almost 1/2 a century of exposure in the music world. The charisma and everything else comes with time and exposure.

Anyhow, Nihira's introvertedness and shy nature is appealing to a lot of us and we do not sincerely want her to change and wear fake expressions and plastic smiles. She is wonderful the way she is. The charisma must not be a put on or fake.

We just want to be entertained by her voice. She is the future of the Indian music, and that's all there is to it. We are not comparing her with Lataji and Ashaji. She still has a long journey to cover before she reaches those heights of acclaim and recognition.

shrecs..i think nihira has sung some songs on saregamapa better than the original ...one such example is Hare rama hare krishna..If u listen to the original ....u wont enjoy it that much ..but when u listen to nihira ...u feel its the best song ever sung by anybody..she's that good man !! btw...she's already got so much love n affection from her fans that she doesnt need to prove herself much now ! and I am happy that ismailji has made a vow to make her successful !! So thats the best thing to have..she's a star already !

Love ya Nihira...GOD BLESS U !!

I really(swear really) 'apologize' for hurting the feelings of all you Nihira fans(But, I know that you guys dont think that I am one of you guys, which actually am!!)
But, none of these things will change my opinion about her being 'pale' on stage.atleast at this time 😉
