Jtn-Llt Split? Sharib-Sunanda Elimination

Did Sharib-Sunanda become scape-goats of Jatin-Lalit's split?

Do you guys think that because Jatin-Lalit were splitting, they got rid of Sharib and Sunanda since that was the only tie holding them together to SRGMP.

In one of the newspaper articles related to their split, it was mentioned that the duo had split but contractually they had to be together on SRGMP since the contract was signed before their split.

Well guess what? How to get out of the contract ... Let's eliminate our own contestants... No contestants left - No contract left either.

Pretty low, if it is true.

that thought crossed my mind at the time actually...but i thought i was just over-reacting because sharib was my favourite...it's definitely possible...anything is on this show!

Thanks. I have been thinking about it for a while and it has been bugging me. Sharib has been my fav., and his elimination that early was just a Shocker!

He was a good singer, and could not have been eliminated that early in the game.

Well in away. Yes they shouldn't influence public voting. But do we know that they are not manipulating.

Maybe ... Maybe ... they are honest as far as the 1st slot is concerned (or when they were 12 contestants, then top 3 slots). The others can be easily manipulated. The public knows who the best is for them cuz they voted for that person, so it is too risky to play with top slots. The rest don't matter.

Now that the competition is tight, they won't dare play with the 1st slot since Debu has a huge fan following. Others don't reaaly matter anymore.

Aashish4Me did mention in one of his posts (may or may not be true) that even tho' Vinit got the least votes last week, Himani was eliminated since she got the second lowest.

All I am saying is manipulation at that level is possible.

BTW, maybe that was the reason Vinit cried so much when Himani got eliminated.

I know some of us think the reason is that he loves her and what not. But maybe he had a guilt trip that because of him, she is being eliminated.

I think Sharib/Savnanda elimination has nothing to do with JL split. Those contestants were eliminated by public voting. JL always supported their contestants very strongly.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. I completely agree with you and have written about this too -- the reason Sharib and Swananda were eliminated is not because they had the lowest votes (in fact Sharib could have won the competition), it's because Jatin-Lalit were splitting and they didn't want to stay on Saregamapa anymore. Thus, Sharib and Swananda were made scapegoats for their wanting to leave, and since the producers were also having to pay double for both mentors and the mentors themselves wanted to leave, the producers let them go because their money was going too. I also think that's why Ismail Darbar felt so bad when Sharib was eliminated because he knew it was not fair - Sharib and Swananda were sacrificed by their mentors for their personal problems. That's why he gave Sharib such a huge song with Lata Mangeshkar because Sharib and Swananda were both two of the top singers in the show.

jatin-lalit didn't made any sincere efforts to gain public vote.that's for sure.

I dont think that they wud get rid of Sharib and Swananda for their own personal reasons. Well, I think its kinda an insult for them as muis directors to be outa the show aswell. Think abt it now... Wudn't u feel dumb if all of the participants in your gharan were to be eliminated. So why wud Jatin and Lalit go to that extent to ruin their own reputation as music directors.
