Is Public a right judge?

Hi,

No doubt, this show is going on for a long time with this rule but I just wanted to raise one point here: Are we or the whole public, really a true judge for such a great musical show? Do you or me have such a potential to judge the vast talent of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Contestants? Do we have knowledge of all the SURS and TAALS so as to decide who sings better among Nihira, Himani, Vineet, Debo or Hema? Just one example to support my point is that if the public really would have had such a great knowledge of music then we would not have Nihira out of the show!!

To choose the best among all the contestants, one needs to have an excellent knowledge of the musical techniques and SUR-TAALS which is possessed by the great musical pandits and gurus. Don't you think that they should be the real judge for these talents. Just think of a show which has singers trained by great musicians like ID, AS, JL and HR and judged by great Gurus/pandits (like Mr. Ghulam Ali or Ms Lata Mangeshkar or Ms Abida Parveen or Ms Freeda Khannum etc). I would call that kind of a show to be a real MAHAYUDH.

In addition, we can always have one contestant secured by Pubilc Voting. This way, we can enjoy real music instead of all the Drama in such a great show.

What do you say guyz??

Ye sof course is right judge as the career of a singer depends on Public.But Only one vote shld be allowed by a person.Otherwise It leads to wrong results(Nihira's exit)

I say, public is the worst judge ever! and u r right, they wouldn't have voted Nihira out if they had even a bit of a brain! I really hate the Indian public(though i'm indian too), cuz they are emotional fools! I don't stay in India so i can't vote thru my cell, I have to vote thru the internet, which is a very slow process! I can't believe how Debojit got the highest no. of votes?! As i said, Indian public consist of emotional fools!

I agree with you totally and I respect your post...............But these things have become very old now and the show is reaching to the climax. So Bygones are bygones. Good singers like Nihira, Swananda Sharib have gone very early so its high time now. This was known to us, the day Agnipariksha started with public voting and in the very first episode Rakhtima was voted out.........Now what can I say? Gajji was in mood of making money so he didnot care who goes out. If only he had brains like you, he would have not gone for public voting....................so lets forget what has happened and lets enjoy the competition with the remaining contestants................ So forget what happened my friend.

I don't think public should be given a choice. Yes, public is the one that buys CDS and promote..blah blah blah.
But bottom line is once singer is given a chance in the movie sor in the vidoes and if their voice quality is good, public is gonna like them anyways. Public is too emotional. They think from their eyes...oh she looks good or he is so handsome. More value is given to looks then to the singing.

Is there any point to discuss about it now. Now that we have lost Nihira for this stupid voting, who cares whether its right or wrong. Its tooooooo late now.
