"Everybody was against me!"
Right from the beginning of the show, I was very different. I performed, and said what I wanted to on stage. The others thought that was a gimmick! But see, now shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Zee TV) are also doing the same. You can see for yourself the changes in the show. They have incorporated a lot of reality -- talking about sick parents and crying on stage...but when I spoke out on Fame...I was criticised, sab mere against the (Everybody was against me). But the love of the audience keeps me going...and my self confidence and the spirit and passion that I have inside me has made me what I am today.

"No one has tolerated as much pressure as I have"
I have cried inside, each time I was in the danger zone! But no one came to know on stage. There I would always laugh....we were on camera 24 hours, and despite all criticism, I kept a confident facade on stage. It was difficult. No one has been as stressed as I was then!

"I miss Kashmir"
Living in Mumbai is not difficult, I have stayed in other places and my dad also has been travelling a lot, but I miss Kashmir. Wahan ke logon ki badi yaad aati hai! (I miss the people of Kashmir a lot). Not that I can't go even now for three or four days, but the work schedule is such that I can't manage. Nothing's like Kashmir......

Qazi: standing alone even among friends!

"He who succeeds despite his problems, is a true artiste"
When I see the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa show, I really think that if they cannot take the pressure because they choose to quit! Perhaps they should! It's all about taking the pressure and going on...An artiste's mother might be sick at home, but on stage he has to perform...that's the mark of a true artiste.

I think what he is trying to say is that if the contestants can't take the heat they should get out of the kitchen. This past week, you saw Himani crack under pressure, so I think Qazi is trying to say that if they can't take the pressure then they should give up.

Qazi cud take the pressure only 'cos he knew no matter what ppl r going to vote for him.In fact whenever he was in danger zone,it was the other 2 with him who were under pressure as they were sure one of them was going to lose to Qazi. And I think they handled it well.Who cares what Qazi thinks??

QAZI thinks he is an expert now? WOW !! Ismail Darbar would give him a tongue lashing that would send him back to Kashmir in a hurry. He is a lousy singer at best and would have been eliminated from SRGMP in the 1st round. When the final 6 were selected, Gajendra Singh could have made the show better by mixing reality with art. Let the public vote who they want but bring back an expert panel of musicians and singers and let them decide who is the best singer. This would stop HR and AS from manipulating the show to start with and honest people like ID can be proud of their participation as mentor. Currently, I bet he regrets how he got sucked into this. This would put the public in its place where it belongs. If mass appeal is a criterion for the best singer, just add any cricketer from the Indian team to the show and he would win it, whether he knows how to sing or not. NIHIRA is still the best singer no matter what AS or HR says. HR shuld be ashamed anyways, since he has publicly admitted eating his dal and roti from Laxmi-Pyare music thefts.

I donot think QAZI would have qualified even for ROUND 1 of SAREGAMAPA CHALLENGE 2005.

Who cares about what Qazi thinks? I don't consider him a singer to comment on the Saregamapa contestants. What performance is he talking about. I think Hema and Vinit perform much better than him. They have much better stage presence than him.
