Other than Rafisaab himself, I never heard anyone do justice to Pardah Hai Pardah. For me, it holds great sentimental value to me. To me, it didn't seem like Vineet put that throw and that energy that was vital in that song. That energy Rafisaab put in the song will make any music lover excited! Especially the emphasis in words like "na darrr zaalim zamane se yeh..." or "mein tere ghusse ko thanda na karadun haa!" While Vineet does a good job on other songs, this song was not his best in my opinion. I enjoyed that song very much. Amongst many songs, this song is my most favorite.
Here is some trivia for you all. The released version of this song was sung by Rafisaab and chorus. The UNreleased version which is shown in the movie include Kishoreda and Mukeshji in it. It is one of the two songs ever in Hindi film music where Mukesh, Rafisaab, and Kishoreda sang together.
Rafi saab sang the lyrics of the song as is on Rishi Kapoor.
When Rafisaab sang "parda nashin ko bepardaah na karadoon to... to... to.. to... to..." then Kishoreda picturized on Amitabh sang "Akbar tera naam nahin hai..." for the first and second verses. For the refrains, Rafisaab himself sang "Akbar mera naam nahin hai."
In verse 2 (starts off with khuda ka shukr hai), there is a line that says "kisi ki jaan jaati hai", Mukesh says "Wah Wah Wah!" picturized on Amitabh. Again Kishoreda finishes that verse as he did before.
