I always had the impression that sa re ga ma pa was a good, honest show focused on showcasing talent...in whatever form or package...but the dirty politics of Challenge 2005 has left me disillusioned...I admit Paresh was my favourite contestent and I am sad that he is no longer part of the show...but I also know he wouldnt last long...he was battling not only other more trained contestants, language barriers, but also corrupt mentors...i feel maybe had HR stopped breathing down Vineet's throat for a second and given some attention to Paresh and Ujjaini...maybe, even if they didnt reach the no.1 spot, at least they wouldnt have left the competition feeling less of a singer than the other participants or undeserving...perhaps either of them...with more moral support could even have reached the finals...
the bramhastra was pointless...paresh and ujjaini should have been sent to their original gharans...perhaps then they would not have felt abandoned morally and musically...(ID near the end had even stopped commenting on Paresh's performances)..
now..i hope hema and nihira win...hema because of the warmth in his voice...nihira because she is technically perfect...and more importantly...they have been underrated by their mentors...they have become the underdogs in the competition...they deserve to be at the top if they get there without publicity stunts and bias mentors...
as for the mentors...shame on them...they claim sangeet is all pure and what not...but all they care about is winning...ID needs to stop being so accusatory and crude...and HR just needs to spontaneously combust...
vineet...i think he's a fantastic singer but i wonder how long he will remain down-to-earth and unaffected????? even now during the elimination rounds he seems so over-confident...like he knows it's fixed...there is an expectant look on his face after every performance...as if expecting people to fall head-over-heels...like he could do no wrong?
at this stage of the competition everyone is the best...but i hope the most deserving contestant wins!
