SRGMP despite all politics, is far ahead of II2. The quality of singers in II2 is very ordinary. It's the same type of contemporary tunes that singers attempt. After watching SRGMP, I have lost interest in the musical reality shows of Sony.

If anyone thinks that II2 is good, let me say that a programme where public is involved at such an early stage cannot churn out the best singer and Idol. Last time results were a mockery with Anuj Sharma out and Panna Gill and Sandeep in. Similarly in the girls round Dilpreet who got 10 out of 10 by the judges was voted out.

The compt. has become too easy for either Karunya or Amey to win as their major competitiors have already been voted out.

Zee has not committed that blunder at least. they had 12 very solid singers before plunging into public voting. These singers have been trained profusley by top MDs for past 6 months, hence there is no comparison in the level.

As somebody in this thread pointed out the Rangeela Re song sung by Antara was so disappointing in comparison to what Nihira sung. If singers like Nihira or Himani enter the II show, the judges will have to part with their own chairs of judgement.

I squarely blame HR & organizers for degrading SRGMP to this level,initiating topi/pyar naatak. If he thinks Vinit can't win on his own, give other people fair chances. But this show was much better any talent hunt, thigs plummeted after public voting etc.

I think saregamapa minus public voting is the best musical show. Yes, indian idol has a couple of good singers but think about this-- matarani, sandeep and panna gill 😕 in finals ?????? i cant digest

at least saregama gave us 11 best singers in the finals. and i think apart from paresh all the other finalists deserve to be where they are. and guys please paresh is so sweet. i think he's the most graceful on the show notice him every time the results are announced, he is niether crying nor is he over excited on getting promoted to the next round. so i think its not 'that' bad if hes in the final 6 and as the reports suggest hes going to b out in the next round anyways so lets b kind to him. and yes i hate HR and vineet thing going on for so long . if vineet loses we all know whom to blame as vineet really is a gr8 singer.

Indian Idol-2 has definately better male singer: A. Datey. A.Datey, is much better than the saregampa current finalist like Hema, vinit, debojit.

Totally, ADatey is AMAZING. He should have been on SRGMP, he could have given all the contestants a run for their money and some for their caps.

I saw Indian idol for the first time last night. Frankly whatever gimmicks that we have on sa re ga ma pa like topi and love story aside. The quality of singing and the quality of mentors/judges of sarega is much more superior then indion idol. I thinks those guys/gals who have already been out singed much better than indian idol. I cannot beleive me saying that buy even Rajiv sing better than these guys. The difference is that the mentors spent time and effort to teach the students. My question is what music abilities Farah khan has as a judge. Secondly i think all the mentors are much more orginal music makes then Anu Malik.

Agreed, SRGMP had a much superior platform for the contest and a much richer talent lot, but the current turn of events arising from public voting, love story lullabys and mento wars have left the competition in some disarray and confusion.

All was well with SRGMP until the AP rounds begun, then it has failed miserably in an effort to emulate the elimination patterns in I2 and FG. And of the 12 finalists in I2, there are a few good singers as well, but SRGMP has a more homogenous talent pool.

Just saw that Antra singing Rangeela Re and Anu Malik said that he has found the next singer for his movie.... i mean if he has to say this for Antra, then I feel our Raktima or Sanchali were far better than this female.

I dont want to compare Nihira with Antra, as it would be an insult to Nihira for this song.

This just goes to show what standard they have in II2. Guess, Anu has no choice to make comments, coz he already has jotted ones ready and has to blurt them out after every performance.
It looks so very artificial and sick.

I mean, even the "Put-On-Tiffs" between Anu-Sonu-Farah are total "Put-Offs" that antics on SRGMP sound n appear more spontaneous.

Gajji can afford with these antics now, coz we do have the BEST of the BEST singers in the finals.

indian idol sucks.. no good singers at all..

i think public voting has been more or less accurate.you may argue that contestants didnt leave in perfect sequence.some may have overstayed a week or 2 and others voted out a bit early.that argument would have been there had the judges voted too.public is doing fine.singers in srgmp are awesome. 😛

problem with II2 is the selction process.public is given 90 secs to judge.why blame them.I am sure a lot of extremely talented singers would have taken partand why not(there are no mncs waiting to recruit them.) this is the only wayto get noticed.
my feeling is not many talented singers will take a chance with II in future(its a shot in the dark)unless they change the selection process.one or 2 I would like to see on srgmp next year. 😊

singers in srgmp have gone thru several gruelling rounds and training to reach this stage!they have sung dozens of songs.they are the luckiest batch.I love srgmp!

i enjoy watching music based shows.there should be some all year round.american idol also starting-great!
