This became clear that Nihira is flawless when it comes to technique, it is difficult to find missed sur when she sings, her modulation and jumping across notes was remarkable, these qualities please composers immensely that is why she is favourite of all the mentors.
I would like to point towards song selection once again, she knows very well which song should be sung, and it becomes obvious that if any one wants to hit pulse of people he/she will have to go back to ARR/JL/RD Burman songs. ID shishyas will always have this advantage of song selection.
Another point noteworthy was the superb quality of her Track, this very song has a lot of slap-stick Bass Guitar & rhythm punch, it is a treat for any instrumentalist to make such tracks...so again full marks to Nihira for this song selection.
Himani gave another awesome performance, it became clear that she is versatile & can go into sufi genre very well. She was also flawless & perfect but because this song is more towards classical side, she might get less votes than Nihira on this performance. But she rocks...
Both of these girls are very talented, whoever is not a musical judge there is very lucky.It will be interesting to guess on what criteria junta is voting..........

I do not know much about music, Nihira and Himani both are different kind of singer, But if you add all of their qualities Nihira is little bit better than Himani. I like both, But Nihira's wordings are always very clear.

As far as Hema is concern, he has the best in controling sur. But I personally do not like his voice, I like soft and melodious voice. He is like Balasubraminiam and I never like BS's singing.

Nihira's wordings are clearer. I feel more crisper than Himani who tends to round off her words - all in melody so it gets missed but if you really concentrate and hear it over and over you will hear the rounding off. Nihira comes thru better and with power - excellent lung capacity.

nihira Vs himani? that really is a tough competition because when you look at Nihiras' overall singing talent from her control over sur-taal to perfect breathing and pronunciation one immediately thinks WOW she is amazing! On the other hand u have Himani who in my opinion is a fabulous singer, her range is great and I love her punjabi/sufi style when she sings punjabi/sufi type songs and so if I was to compare Nihiras Yaiire to Himanis Kachche Dhaage I would have to say Himanis song in this particular case altho nihira is not too far behind

In a much larger perspective (looking beyond the SRGMP 2005), very few movies will have punjabi songs. Yes, Yashjee will have one punjabi number in his movies so Himani will work with Pamjee on a number or two/year but the load of songs that Nihira will get will be huge. We need to keep the bigger prize in mind - long term thinking :-)

Now I hear Nihira is learning Spanish - Lo Kar lo baath.

Himani has an excellent base voice. While taking it on the high pitch she does go nasal. Himani's voice has more resonance than Nihira's voice but Nihira's voice is more clear and mellifluous.

Himani is better in confidence level and has a magnetic stage pesence. She would be excellent in stage performances or the kind of songs u want to hear in discos, whereas Nihira would be phenomenol for playback singing. It is the kind of voice which can make one touchbase with the deeper spiritual self.

The other day I went to see this movie Dosti (really dull movie) and I was listening to some of the songs sung by Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Sonu Nigam. I was quiet put off by Sonu's singing as it was too much in the base wheraes Alka is consistently Alka. Sweet, meoldious as ever. It is just the kind of voice u want to hear in absolute pin drop silence - that is what Nihira's voice is. It is clear and sweet as honey and has an overall soothing and healing effect.

thank heavens we have each and every singer .but for them we will not be having an extremly exciting show waiting for us tonight.isnt it great that himani is so diff from nihira and equally talented.hem nihira,himani vinit ,debojit,paresh-if one has a great voice, another style ,someone else technically perfect....

i wouldn't want it any other way.only there is so much bitterness in the forum 😕 .WHY? we are lucky to get to watch SRGMP-every thing is entertaining, including HR'S rediculous antics-the unpredicable voting,EVERYTHING

i want to mention one thing, when himani was singing kache dhaage i dint see any performance, she was simple, closed her eyes,no ldkas jadkas but marvelous singing and of course performance too. b'cose it was very difficult song and she concentrated on singing only.
nihira on other side great singing (hamesha)but she was (swinging with the music)performing,dint closed her eyes,she was not like a doll who stand and sing - great performance too.

so wat i conclude is some people in this forum said that nihira is not performing she can sing only bajans watch this episode u 'll come to know how to concentrate in singing while singing difficult songs such as himani did with kache daage and nihira with all the songs she sunng.
