I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but i missed it.

I would like to know some info. about Shaan. He's just too cute. He's a great host. I didn't have Zee TV channel when Sonu Nigam hosted the show, so I've only seen Shaan as the host and he's brilliant at it. Remeber the April Fools Day episode where Babul Supriyo was hosting and said that Shaan was no longer host and then Shaan came out in a disguise? My heart literally stopped when I thought Shaan had left.

Anyway, who can tell me anything about him? What's his last name? What part of India is he from? I know he's married and maybe even has a kid or two. Anyone know his background/career history? Thanks!

these days they are again showing "jeena isi ka naam hai"(repeat episodes)on Zee Tv and they will be showing Shaan too...I have seen that episode about Shaan long time ago but does not remember everything. Shaan said that he met his wife first time during a show where she came to see his show....also he is the brother of famous singer Sagrika who is living in UK these days....anyways, it should be coming up soon so you can have more info. about him....sorry for not giving you much info.

I found this interesting...on the other day I was watching this one indian channel and it showed a very old movie like may be from 80's. I forget the name, but it was an Art movie with Shabana Azmi and Om Puri. Also it had another character...Shaan. He must have been 17 or 18 years old. He played this village boy. I just thought you would like to know that he acted in a movie as well.

shaan's father was also a music director...i dont rememver his name .he passed away when shaan and sagarika were very young.their mother used to be chorus singer....thats how the kids got into music....

music director biddu gave them their first break with "aisa hota hai " song....its a beautiful song about a brother and a sister....
so then biddu made shaan do some road show...where he meets people ...i think he met his wife then....

i got all the info from watching the show "jeena isi ka naam hai.."
like goody said....wait and watch ...its a great episode...i have been a fan of shaan from his "aisa hota hai" days.......

shaan acted in some movies....he also acted in a movie where raveena tandon played the main lead and she got a national award for it....i dont remember the name of the movie though...

i too had the same feeling...
when i see ad babul saying shaan no longer hold the show i really cried...
i really love hima lot he is the best host ever.
SRGMP is incomplete without him.
